One of the top 5 best movies so far this year. 8.5/10, and i suggest seeing this twice instead of wasting your money on Land of The Dead (which I knew was going to be bad anyways).

Land of the Dead - 3/10
War of the Worlds - 8.5/10
Dawn of the Dead - 8/10
Unleashed - 8/10
Longest Yard - 6.5/10
Kicking and Screaming - 2/10
Kung Foo Hustle - 8/10
HGttG - 7.5/10
Sin City - 8/10

Land of the Dead- 6.5/10 (I'm a zombie fan, so... I liked it more than my score lets on)
War of the Worlds 7.5/10 (The ending. Boo)
Sin City- 9/10
Hitchhikers Guide 9/10
Star Wars Episode III- 7/10
Batman Begins- 9.5/10

So you can see how it ranks up with other movies I've seen this summer.

I saw it today, and it was pretty damn good. But like a lot of you have said, the ending was just awful. Exactly like it happened in the book, but I thought it would be a little better in movie form...

They are perfect. I didn't find anything wrong with them, the action movies in that list had awesome action, all the stories were great, the acting was great. Flawless in my opinion.

The ending would have been so much better if out of nowhere a tripod just came and discintegrated them all out of nowhere in some totally awesome way and then fade out to the credits.

It's a game, on the other end of the page there was a chat, to chat with other players. So him and i were alone in that section of the game.

I saw it.

Special effects were amazing.
Sound was amazing.
Didn't catch nearly as many editing errors as I did with Star Wars.
I know that the ending is the same as the book/the older movie...
But come on.

To me, it just felt like a waste. The only point was to update the look and to make it look cooler.

However, all of the sound/special effects are winning me over, so therefore I give it a: 7/10.

I saw it before when I was supposed to go see Batman Begins, my friend's parents got the times wrong. It was pretty good, especially in the more intense moments, but the ending was like wtf. Contrary to what others are saying, though, I don't mean the not as much action around the end as I do the one kid surviving.

".. so what are you doing alive"

"Uh.. what?"

After seeing the movie my sister was convinced that it was the birds that
killed all the aliens. I had to explain that it wasn't. You would think that if
the aliens could plan all of this out they would have a way to filter their water.
I tried so hard not to laugh when Tom Cruise said "You Are Going To Die!"
and then he got blowed up.

It was ok. Though, I wanted to kill Fanning, all she did was screm were gonna die for 2 hours, and pretty much was the reason they almost did. It was like the old one, colorized. Though, why didn't the people's clothes get vaporized, but the people did?
