actually i would definitely tie quality to popularity, with an inverse relation.

news is treated like entertainment, so whoever has the best ratings is probably doing the worst job at actual journalism.

alright so i'll go ahead and post townhall.com, breitbart, or thinkprogress and alternet links to forums and maybe those will count as better journalism

and when i post links to things like stratfor and nightwatch which are amazing sources for affairs that directly affect the US everybody goes 'wtf never heard of it'

Adlp, we're not saying fox news is the devil, we're saying that most publicized news coverage has bias and the three big news companies have a ton of it. Granted, each of them have pros and cons, but it says something when satirists report the news better that entire companies that devote all their time to do so.
