The percussion instruments in that track that sound recorded, were recorded. The kick is a layering of 4 different tone sounds to fill out the range and that snare is a normal perc from a vengeance pack layered with something more punchy.

For that synth, however, I'm only using 2. 1 sub layer, and that tonal synth that has this odd vocoded effect. I'm not using a vocoder to do this. One of the oscillators in Razor offers this pitch bend that only bends within the key so I just automated that and went crazy.

I've been pretty absent for the past few months so I haven't really worked on anything at all. I whipped this up yesterday night in a few hours because my internet went down and I think it sounds pretty decent for my first time using FL in 2 months.

I'm going to extend this a few minutes, then maybe send it off to some UKHC labels if I'm satisfied enough with it. I'm getting closer to that "professional" sound.

It twas. That's actually pretty cool, though it does sound like you used fruity kick, which is kinda not the best.

I hear how punchy it is, but it doesn't seem to come through very much, if you were to possibly layer it with another kick it may be more present.

I see what you mean, yea. I think it has the fruity kick punchy sound because I didn't turn the decay down enough. it gets this higher pitched punch sound.

I totally agree with you on how the kick doesn't come through enough. I shall possibly try and improve that. maybe I just need to put another kick over it like you said.

anyway, was my first ever time trying trap, I quite liked it. I shall practice it more!

this took like 20 mins to render with a sound interface and a decent rig because all those (hall) reverbs -- never again for an experiment

might finish or work on this but it was more of a spur of the moment kind of thing
