![]() ^ Clicky me to download If you play on SM5 use this link for a bonus file! [Gum (Kommisar)] - http://www.mediafire.com/?v4t3ricz4le7vce *Gum has warps that will only work on SM5 Finally we are releasing this pack. I remember how much hype there was when I posted up the thread, but then the submissions were quite low. We managed to end up with 17 files, which while it may not be where I wanted to be I'm quite happy with what we have. No they're not all perfect files, but if you ask me they're damn fun to play. We have files that range from lightly modded, to that was awesome (at least I think some of the tricks are quite awesome), to holy fuck what was that. So anyway, even if you aren't great at X-mod download this pack, turn fail off or to end of chart, and have fun with it! Let us know what you think/post scores in this thread. Song List Atomic (Kommisar) Acid Wolfpack (MrTea) Broken Notes (macgravel) Contact (YOSHl) Daydreamer (eastsideman09) Destroyer (debit13) Galvanize (eastsideman09) Get Up (Justin_ator) Let Me Hit It (Justin_ator) Never Enough (Saphira) Overdrive (Saphira) Release The Music (bmah) Smoke (bmah) Steel Needle (JS) STOP! & Go (Antronach) Windowlicker (MrTea) Wolfgang's 5th Symphony (eastsideman09) *Thank you to everyone that sent something in to this pack and took out the time to make some awesome X-mod charts. I know how time consuming it can be and I only do simple tricks. Some of the tricks you guys put in are incredible and I've enjoyed playing every one of these files. woo hoo Friday the 13th release

There were some issues that I would have loved to fix, but I felt like the pack was just going to stagnate and I really had no motivation to get through. I at least tried making decent graphics for the files that didn't have them... or at least making sure that there were some existent graphics (I had no idea what to do with Galvanize).
In my opinion, there are fun files in here, and I definitely recommend at least taking a look at it. The community really could use a fresh style of charts to play, and I definitely feel like we can do a lot better if we get the right people to submit and work with full effort. Anyone who sees this, take a dive and try it -- I think it's worth it. Also: macgravel made a return with an x-mod file, and holy shit it is so mean HAHAHA |

Hopin' to see some more scores/thoughts. Daydreamer is one of my faves from the pack even though I fail most times lol.

Remember you made Gum SM5 specific. We ended up with no other SM5 files so I really don't know what to do with it. I love the file, but don't want someone to try to play it in one of the older sms and it be broken on them.

unfortunately, not a lot of people use SM5
it's a shame, because you really can do so much more with it, but no one wants to move over, despite the older engines being deprecated. It's the same with Legacy/Velocity players on FFR -- they've gotten too used to the interface if someone wants to appropriately implement warps into the 3.95 CVS source-code and re-release it, that would be awesome (better yet, do that and make the editor immediately do speed-changes/warps, that would be great). EDIT: or, if people want to make SM5 back-convert warps into their respective negative BPMs, that would be good too -- obviously, devs aren't going to waste their time trying to work with an exploit of the older engines, but it's all we have with some people not wanting to touch SM5 with a five-foot pole Last edited by TC_Halogen; 09-14-2013 at 12:33 PM.. |

Saw a message on Skype regarding SMO hosting from AJ, hosted and sent a reply, but I'll mirror it here as well since I don't know if he's on at the moment.
SMO mirror link: The X-mod Project I am absolutely atrocious at X-mod, so I am unsure if I should dabble in this release myself, but I'm sure for those who have the hang of it this will be an amazing pack!

in this case, it's better to cater to the majority, and SM5 is under no circumstance a majority - just because you use it doesn't mean everyone else does EDIT: also, let me clear up one thing -- I love SM5 when it comes to making gimmicky charts like this; hell, I can even script modifiers inside a .SM file; that's incredible. When I step regular, constant BPM keyboard files, I step them for myself because I make files for songs I enjoy. I won't use another editor for stepping PIU, because nothing can replicate Andamiro's incredibly amazing bullshittery like SM5 can. But, when it comes to charts like these, I want others to enjoy them as well. Unfortunately, not that many people on FFR use SM5. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 09-14-2013 at 04:08 PM.. |
