Not for this pack anymore, I think we're too far along to ask someone to sit down and review 35 files. For future packs we will likely look for a 3rd judge.

Last review of the night because .Rarity sent me something right after I wrote my earlier reviews lol
(.Rarity) Foozogz - Applejack Bucks 400 Apple Trees Conditional Overall I thought this file was really fun but you have one really obvious mistake that irked me. Beat 99 during your second set of freeze jumps you have charted a jump on beat 99.25 where there should instead be one on 99.0 and 99.5. Your sync is also just slightly off (early by about 13 milliseconds, see http://i.imgur.com/TkislU5.png ). Fix these couple simple issues and I'll gladly accept it. First post update will come tonight. I will also update the reviews in the second post. I'm also uploading 3 more preview videos tonight. I'll also put the youtubes in this post later tonight. (rCaliberGX) cornandbeans - {The Traveller}
Accepted This file reminded me that I should probably check Newgrounds for some shit to step lmao. Pretty standard JS file. Nice song choice and good patterns throughout the whole file. (rCaliberGX) ST2B Recording - Superluminal Accepted I expect to 1 great this about 100 times because I can't roll to save my life, but this is another hella fun JS file, with a good amount of variety. Lots of replay value in both of these, imo. (mrTea) Fexomat - Schlimme Dinge Accepted Welp...I can't really complain about the music this time, because it's pretty decent. On top of that, this file is amazingly fun, with a shitton of interesting and well thought-out patterns that make this file memorable. (bombastik) Utsu-P feat. Hatsune Miku - MiKUSABBATH Rejected Yeah you definitely need to fix the sync on this, but even then, it's an overall easy chart with huge difficulty spikes that also feels undercharted. There are just a lot of single notes where I think the chart should be more dense, like during the entire intro section (starting at beat 86). Although honestly, I think even if it's charted a little more densely, it'll still be a mostly easy file with a few spikes of real difficulty, in the form of bursts and one relatively small JS, which makes for a pretty boring experience overall for people that can do the hard parts. I'd definitely re-evaluate it if you were to make changes, but I think it'd almost have to be a JS dump chart to really work. The song is fucking awesome though. (.Rarity) Foozogz - Applejack Bucks 400 Apple Trees Conditional I don't really have much input on this one besides what Wafles already pointed out, and I assume that'll get worked out. It's an otherwise really fun, solid, short file. |

I was playing reach's file, got 92.5% 4 times in a row, then I rage quit and made my own file lol. I kept the basic structure, like the double trills, but made the patterns 10x better. I also added some more jumps around. There's still some things I'd like to revise, but I'm not at my computer atm.

you can preview any of my submissions, except for superluminal and exam cram oni, since those aren't final versions.
edit: since you said jack charts are oni and dumps are beginner; for those with multiple charts, how about using standard and heavy? you could move the charts for exam cram down 1 each. Last edited by rCaliberGX; 08-14-2013 at 08:04 PM.. |

Yeah I'm not even sure what I wanna do with the difficulties, I'm guessing people wont have a problem if I slide their charts about but who knows what I'll end up doing anyway.
As for more preview vids after spending like 5 hours uploading and rendering stuff yesterday I really don't wanna do any more preview vids for a while lol |

Sent Superluminal v2. Added more jumps/hands (sitting at 706 jumps now, compared to reach's file w/ 608) and tweaked the sync on some of the 16ths. If I could find an audio file that isn't an autoplay from O2Jam that would be awesome.

This is how I sort the diffs on my files:
Beginner - joke/dump files Light - 1 to 3 nps Standard - 4 to 7 nps Heavy - 8 to 12 nps Oni - 13+ nps This can work either on raw nps or nps after fudge factor (kudos to gd for the term) applied. @ rcaliber: you can just screencap it and use a video editor to add the song audio in it afterward.

what i meant was that every audio file i could find of Superluminal was exactly the same and had all the audible errors of being recorded in O2Jam w/ autoplay (synths suddenly being sounded, slight deviations in timing etc.) This is because afaik, notes were keysounded like in IIDX and the full songs w/out keysounds weren't available. also superluminal is 16 raw nps (reach's file is 15) lol |

Falling a bit behind with getting to the updated files from everybody (.Rarity, rCaliberGX, and Skwid), busy work week, I'll tackle everything over the weekend.
Oh and I may as well put this here, as we lead up to the packs release (once we hit 50 files, not too long from now!), I am going to be hosting a final pack review room on Stepmania Online where we will be playing every chart in the entire pack in order to ensure that everything is ready and to get our final difficulty ratings on everything. I'm thinking just about anyone who has files in the pack will be welcome to join, either for all, or part of the day. More details to come, this is probably still at least a month away. 2 New File Reviews
(Force) Timeless Miracle - Curse of the Werewolf Rejected You said you didn't really care if it got rejected so I'm not really gonna go into too much depth here. Bad layering, boring song, boring chart. (rparty89) CanBlaster - Hardkore Atomic Rejected Ok this chart isn't actually bad at all and I probably would have put conditional with sync fixes if not for the fact that this chart has been released in at least 2 difficult kb packs already. It has a chart in HSMP12 and Rebound Vibrajack 2. I don't feel that this chart offers enough of a difference to really be accepted. As I said, the chart is also pretty off sync, so if you do decide to try and submit something different please verify that your file is on sync with ddream or something. |
