Default Re: SMO Night #1

Hmm... I'll take some time to see what I have and compared it to all the packs on FFR's/SMO's list. (also checking difficulties) I will post my suggestions as I see fit. However, please feel free to make other suggestions. I will be back in a little bit. (This will take a while...)

edit: I'll go ahead and do a quick run down of categories. Not set in stone but, just in case their done/used/included.

[Pad] - I doubt there will be one but, I don't mind if there is a room for one. (These are kinda obvious though.)

- DDR
- ITG
- PIU
- Mungyodance
- DWI Extreme
- BCMP

[Index] - I don't play index anymore and I don't know many good packs for these. I would like suggestions here please...

- Otaku's Dream? (Really depends on the pack/song. Some seem easy while others are keyboard...)
- SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

[Index/Spread (Easy)] - This is more of my liking. I would probably be in this room.

- DDR
- ITG
- PIU
- Mungyodance
- DWI Extreme
- BCMP
- Community Keyboard Megapack (These seem to be easy spread files. Maybe even index in some cases.)
- FFR Community Packs. (obviously...)
- Keyboard Collaboration Packs. (These seem relatively easy as well. A few cases, index maybe?)
- Otaku's Dream? (I suppose these can work. Although, some might be too easy or too hard... Steps vary in this pack.)
- Tachyon (These were suggested. These seem to be good in here... Maybe index?)
- Kirby Pack 1/2. (maybe.)

[Spread (Hard)] - I can play these but, this is out of my skill range...

- Hard Songs Megapack (I don't have them anymore but from what I recall, they were pretty tough. Obvious choice for me.)
- IcyWorld's Mini Pack (I swear I had these... Guess not... Lemme know on these.)
- Mididare Megapacks (Unsure/Maybe?)
- Nuclear Blast JS Awesome Bomb Files. (How could I forget these...)
- SUGGESTIONS? (I don't really play too many of these...)

This list is a starting idea. I don't really know 100% but please let me know if I am heading in the right direction.

edit: What do you all think? Discuss please. This is based off what I have/common packs. If you have others that you think are better, please let me know.

edit: Still waiting. I know we still have time but, it's better to prepared now. (Rather than later...)

edit: I seemed to forgot that the original idea was just one room... I know for a fact one room is not enough... Two rooms should be max... However, this is going to be tough to organize... Let me think about it a bit and I will edit my post...

edit: This looks a bit better. It's still not perfect but, it's a bit more on target.

edit: This will be a more tested/checked list below...

[Index/Spread (Easy)]
- ITG 1-3 and Rebirths. (Less packs then DDR and many difficulties/charts)
- Tachyon Alpha (many charts/difficulties.)
- Community Keyboard Megapack Volume 1-4 (Some of the best songs are in here.)

[Spread (Hard)]
- Tachyon Beta/Gamma (Primarily harder charts.)
- Keyboard Collaboration 1-3 (Mainly because there are no indexable charts.)
- FFR Community Packs (These for obvious reasons...)

edit: Everyone okay with this list?

why is everything in spread(hard) really easy? tachyon is pad files, kbc and ffr packs have like 5 files that arent super easy on spread.
tachyon can be moved to index, kbc an ffr are more like spread(medium) or something.
spread(hard) should be more like hsmp, nbjs, midare, mina, etc.

also spooky i think you confused index for spread there lol. tbh the old hard spread pack list is more reasonable, not sure why you crossed it out.

I think this is a great idea, but idk about roommates and shit yknow, I room with new people i dont know in my dorm and thatll be the second(?) weekend with them. hopefully they will tolerate all the keytaps x.x

Basically put me on the list and I will try to make it. Also, my new hardpain pack will be out by then, so maybe everyone can add that as something to play? :3

This really needs two rooms. I don't find index/pad files fun without rates. Easy spread packs tend to be boring, too. Maybe one of the Xoons or Chancellors packs would be interesting.

At this point, I seriously don't know what to pick. I tried playing index earlier. I just don't see how some of these are index. I actually started playing one hand, 2-3 fingers. (I don't think this is considered index. Even still, I tried two hands using my index... I just don't see it. I played better one handed with two fingers... (Although, now, I am spread.) Again, I don't have much experience with index to give a balance. (Remember, we can't have too hard songs, but not too easy either. You also have to consider, minimal packs as possible. The more we include, the higher chance someone else won't have it. Unless they know now... At this rate, I don't see it being done. Maybe I should leave the song list up to someone else? I just can't find a good list of packs. Skill level is too much of a factor to me. (I am also very picky...)

edit: Yes, I know about the two rooms. I never fixed it on here. One needs to be index, and the other spread... Like so...

[Index Room]

- <Packs>

[Spread Room]

- <Packs>

edit: As for what packs... I just dunno anymore. I'll leave it up to you all. Discuss here.

I'm in. It'll be around 8am for me.

Saved in my calendar. Hopefully something doesn't get in the way (that or I end up oversleeping).

Hey, here's a list of index packs I'd like on the SMO day.

All Tachyons (including spectrum epsilon if its out by the time)
Bearpocalypse
Causality Violation
Fast track to brutetown
Cirque du Veyron
SPEEEDCOOOORE 1 2 and 3
Subluminal
CMDKDF (I dont give a shit if this isn't index, it rocks)
Dragonforce

Oh yeah, put me in that list on the first post, cause i'm totally going to be here.

Haha, if other people are drinking, I want in on that part of it.

Would it help if we said which style/difficulty we play so that we know how many people will be in each room and what we need to accommodate? I play spread, medium to hard files.

Songpack suggestions: ffrcp/seasonals, ppp, nbjs, xoon.

Didn't I used to play with you a bunch? Haven't seen you on in a while.

Suggestion here, you should consider putting a password up for the room when you make it and put the password in this thread. There are a fair number of people who don't speak English on SMO and don't understand that if they're getting kicked they shouldn't keep coming back in. This way the people who join are also guaranteed to have looked at this thread and should have the pack/packs we agreed on.
