When someone reviews your work as YoshL's did (even if it is kinda hostile) at least be polite enough to acknowledge their suggestions. Also yeah what Alex said, the irony is kind of funny considering that people bashing Middie in this thread combined are still 100x more polite than he has ever been. I won't deny that some people are certainly getting a release out of seeing him have to defend himself for a change ![]()

True, he does has a reputation for voicing a harsh blunt opinion, but never once did he bash on any of the 3 other files released along with his, nor has he done that in a while, and yeah, hasn't argued with anyone else's harsh opinions after all that has been said about his chart.

It's not the best thing people remember you for.
It's the worst thing they remember you for. Is it going to be like this for every chart Middie/Xel brings out per chance? |

There've already been many posts about Midnight in this thread, but he mentions that the file is of an "older stepping style" and that he intentionally had certain errors? He says that like he wants to have people enjoy his "newer style", yet he's submitting files with the "older style" and doing nonsensical things (like changing the ending to 24ths when the beats clearly landed on 4ths rather than 12ths) and when it got pointed out he bashed those people.
The worst part is that he's posting on his alternate account XelNya with a more smug attitude and trying to cover up how he posted on Midnight. It doesn't take a new account to apologize and/or admit you did something you shouldn't have done. |

this is the only part i hate.. have to make myself kinda forget about this part and have it surprise me if i wanna be able to hit it. the rest of the chart is alright, the ending is kinda fun and the song is a lot more tolerable than some of the other ones we have on here like that little god channel crap so i give it a 6/10 would play again to aaa then forget about it

I cave. I'll address some things, even though I know it is more than likely a wasted effort.

Also, you're being a bit hypocritical here. I've addressed charts with screen shots giving explanations as to why I think they're not that great, and everyone's response even in the TB chat was pretty much "mad cause bad" or something along that line. As to the respect, I do read everything about my charts. Even if I don't address it it has been read. When it comes to judged batches, I take all the notes and compile them into a notepad document and sort it by file, and then I go through the file and make the changes I think fit, and don't use the ones I disagree with. As to the whole "but you fixed the 12th section despite not agreeing with it" I'll simply say I didn't want to hear complaints about it. Quote:

Also, I'm pretty sure that it makes more sense to rotate which charts I submit so I can take the time to modify it properly. And yes, I did bash them, that was wrong. However, it was still a section that can be argued for. Here's the idea in a nut shell for you: When we write out sheet music, we use a time signature, a tempo, or BPM, to represent how it is written, in that instance. However, what we could do is alter the tempo, and change the time signature in some cases, and accomplish this same result in a different way. Obviously the notation of quarters and ect would change accordingly. In short terms if you write a section in 6 / 8, you can in theory convert it to read in 4 / 4 time. In theory, all of MFDFY could be charted at 240bpm, however if you paid any sort of attention when you judged it, you'd know it changes in order of: 240 - 60 - 120 - 240 (as it is in game, this was not the exact case when you judged it.) Those are a very friendly set of changes that emulate the above idea. In this case, I changed the BPMs to the intensity of the music. Quote:
Also, this is going to come off as smug, egocentric, whatever you'll see it as, but this is merely me being honest, and explaining why you're likely to not see me apologize. I have no intentions of apologizing for any of it at the moment. I meant it when I said it, and even if I disagree with it now, or realize it was wrong to say it, I was at least honest enough to not lie to your face about it. To me that is more kind than talking trash about you behind your back. Because of this, the apology would also be insulting, because I don't actually feel bad about it. I won't cover it up with: "Hello, I'm writing this, as a sort of apology for what I have said in the past, it was wrong of me to say so, and as of lately, I have discovered my previous actions to have been wrong, and to have more than likely hurt you in some deviation. I sincerely apologize, and hope that in the near future that things can be cleaned up between us. - Midnight" It sounds as fake as it would be. If there came a day where I felt bad about it, I'd send you an apology. It is rare, but this has happened a few times. The short hand is, if you expect me to apologize, you're very likely not going to see it, at least, not for a long time. |
