I'm a high D4/low D5 player, will I stand a chance playing any of these files?

Thanks Charu! Ill check it out when Im at home.
Kaiten, Id love to get a file from you in dis, thatd be great The files in this pack generally test all sorts of abilities, whether it be stamina, speed, jacks, pattern manipulation, etc, so it depends on your strength. Lets just say that plenty of these files are comparable to files around the 75 and on mark for ffr, and comparable to some of the mid-hard files in packs like midare, nuclear js blast, and some of the easier files in the mina pack. So in short, yes, a D4 to D5 player can pass most of the medium to easier files in the pack. To put it in perpective, I can AAA about 10 files in the pack, and I can either not pass (or pass with a C) about 5 files in the pack, and Im a mid low D6 player |

Double post because it's my thread yo
File Reviews: Lifestyles of the Digital VIP - Charu I was pleasantly surprised, and very happy that you decided to submit this file. Over 8000 notes and 11 minutes, most of it being moderate to highspeed jumpstream; entertaining song choice albeit a little repetitive, but enough variety to be interesting. The file itself is the kind of thing I'm looking for, something that makes many tremble in fear to even attempt. Quite the stamina tester, let me say. I definitely needed something like this in this pack, it's definitely going in. Forgive Me (Heist Remix) - blind Not too bad, it had a slow beginning for sure, but the streams in the song are very fast, so it's fun and challenging. There were some snap issues that just seemed a little off in a few areas, but they're so short, it doesn't take much away from the file. Overall a good challenge and fun as well, which is enough for me. Thanks for submitting guys! |

Oh boy, it found a home! There's actually a much easier version that's cut so it's 7 minutes on my hard drive. =P

i'm about to send a really old file of mine, when you look at it, (yes i'm aware the stepping is sub-par it was done at least a year ago), if you'd like I'll beef it up and make it harder for the pack, since it's not going anywhere else

fml I'm fucking corny when I'm tired, yes please, I love more content from other users! I'm thinking about asking some people to put the link to this thread in their siggys if they like the idea of the pack/submitted, just so that others know that I'm very serious about this getting put together and released. I just finished another dumpfile (this one turned out super super fun) - so from the looks of things, I have about 10 more songs I need to step/complete until I'm pretty much done stepping my own charts for the pack. Hopefully by that time more people will have submitted |

Does 170 bpm 24th note handstream qualify as hard enough for this?
Also whats your stance on resteps? File I have is from SMOC 7th, but I changed it alot. Last edited by Wafles; 06-25-2013 at 04:58 AM.. |

Pretty sure 170 BPM 24th handstream is hard enough haha. Resteps should be fine, most of the files in that list are resteps to begin with.

This, haha. 170 bpm 24ths are pretty rough especially if theyre handstream. I'll get back to my email probably tomorrow night or something, I have to leave now and I've been busy, please submit if you have a file though, I'd appreciate it

File Reviews:
Adrenaline (Nightcore Remix) - Wafles All I have to say is hell yes. The file is reminiscent of gigadelic without being too overly aggressive. Consists of a fair amount of triplet jumpgluts, and shows overall difficulty progression as the song builds and as it comes to a close. This is the kind of personality in a dumpfile that I like, and why I need diversity in this pack (I seem to be more on the medium-hard oscillating pattern until the song ends). Has a strong test of speed and jump ability without being so hard that the file isn't fun. Absolutely loved it overall, glad to have this as an addition to the pack! The First Epidemic - yo man im awesome The file was alright, but it would definitely be better with perhaps another (harder) difficulty thrown in for oni, or as you offered, to beef it up a bit. The file is still a good test for stamina and some faster jumpstreams, but as it stands, the file either needs: A harder difficulty -or - A revamped heavy mode to be accepted. If you want, I will revamp the heavy mode or step the oni chart and leave heavy alone. Because the file is yours, you can make that decision. My overall suggestion for improvement is that the file needs some more dense layering in some of the more aggressive areas in the song (i.e. more jumps where the snares exist, perhaps jumps for kick pedal during the ends of long streams, hands for areas where more than one exist in aggressive sections) as well as a few minor areas need attention (minor awkwardly stepped sections, such as areas neglecting notes for prominent instruments, etc.) I'm absolutely willing to work on this for you if you just don't feel like it, as I need more metal in the pack Rip Roar Power - MrTea I hadn't thought about accepting already released files, but as long as I'm not getting 20 files that have already been released, I think it's okay. The file is good, nice hard jumpgluts and rolls. Overall really aggressive, usually the kind of stuff I would step in terms of difficulty and style (ergo the shit that's mainly going to be in the pack from me) so this one was an easy accept |

If I find another appropriate file I'll submit more. I'm not really a stepartist, I just make files that I think will be fun. ![]() Last edited by Wafles; 06-28-2013 at 08:21 PM.. |

I might contribute something here.
And I think I have just the song. 126.29 BPM 32nd handstreams. What do you think? EDIT: If that's too long, I have an alternative.

Oh yeah, send what you like Nick! Both would be awesome, but I can tell you right now I fucking love Call On Me, one of my favorite songs, and for it to be turned into a dump/overstep would be awesome. Looking forward to it!
I'm stepping something a little different. It's a song from my cousin's band, they do progressive metal. Cedolad will know who I'm talking about, but I'll wait until it's done being stepped to announce it. It's a little harder to step since it isnt repetitive at all, so it will be a while. After that I have 2 others similar to it's stepping difficulty to complete (they're wips) and then about 5 more dumps i have lined up. If you have a file that got rejected from another pack that is difficult, or just an old file lying around you want to make harder, send it on over! |
