Re: [8-Bit Progressive] Starship Orion
Sounds nice. Somewhat generic, though.

Re: [8-Bit Progressive] Starship Orion
Not bad at all~
Though, as Zaevod noted, kinda generic. But imo that's a good thing cause it's what people want. WHo knows, you might make it big in the 8bit world~

Re: [8-Bit Progressive] Starship Orion
the background makes it have that "retro keygen" feel
but then its also kinda progressive I like it I think part of the "generic" feel that people are noting is because it just starts into a prog-y solo out of nowhere. A little more buildup would give it a bit more atmosphere and cohesion and make it feel less generic. at least i think

Re: [8-Bit Progressive] Starship Orion
Thanks!
The generic feel is because at heart it's a 45 second loop (which is itself high in periodic content). That's what it was like when it came out of the one hour compo and I didn't deviate from the structure much. (Then again, While Atlantis Sleeps is also a really tight loop, and that song was cool. Hmm)

Re: [8-Bit Progressive] Starship Orion
Drums are weaksauce in this, but the rhythm and lead sound fantastic. Nice job.
