I can't think of anything

![]() I think this graph is pretty accurate actually. As i graphed the 4 year hiatus, I wondered how much i could have improved in that time.

![]() Standalone should be earlier in 2010. Not fixing it. Also it should say "offline engine" instead Edit: Oh wait, I just put it on the wrong vertex. It should be on the vertex to the left of it I also forgot to add 2003 and 2004 but they're just more distant spikes and falls anyway.

The interesting thing about SM is that people are clearly way better and are improving much faster now; it's immensely based on the fact that keyboards have evolved so much. I decided to check out the keyboard I was using before I got my mech just now and I have no idea how I managed to get some of the scores I've gotten on it. Laptops are another great example since my vibrating skill took off when I tried SM on a laptop for the first time.
Another factor is simfile selection and how there are an abundance of extremely hard files instead of having Death Moon edit be the "hardest file ever zomfg!!" This is arguably as important as hardware since I am much more fluent in reading awkward poly-rhythms and stuff over 300bpm. The other small factor is the various aesthetic changes that have taken place over the years (note skins, popularizing the distant mod, themes with larger scroll space etc.) You can credit it to a bunch of things but if you look at my graph, the only NOTICEABLE skill boosts I've had were from hardware changes. Who knows what Reach/Thaor/Bahamut would've been able to manage with a 'modern' setup. =) Last edited by Dynam0; 05-17-2013 at 06:11 PM.. |

Here is my State of the Game address:
My fellow Arrowsmashing brethren, Yo ah don' play dis here game as much as ah use ta. Therefore, muh motha fuckin skill level will decline Ya' know what I'm sayin', dawg? Fizzzzzzzzzzzzzz On a more serious note, pretty much what Dynamer said. There is a large abundance of good files to train on. Packs like Midare, Mina, Nuclear Blast and more.

Technically the data here is not measureable and lacks content, but this works too:
