In serious though everyone who has successful made a pack that wasn't just thrown together deserves some sort of a thanks. This includes all aspects, from organizing to file making to graphics making.

well aside from not enjoying making files/nobody plays them it's been a long ass time. The cool thing about our part of the community is that we all still keep in touch with each other through #kbo and the skype group even if we don't play stepmania much anymore.

so in essence the community is still going great just we do other shit. we had a mahjong phase for a while, we had a nice pso2 group going last summer as well, now we're playing counter-strike etc. The same group of people, being good friends and all, like friends do, will move on to other games and fads together.

I'm not saying I'm ditching the community and stepmania entirely, but I don't feel like committing to big projects and such. 9 years is a long time to smash keyboards monotonously doing the same thing. there are other games to bandwagon on etc. I'm certain I'll open it up at times though.

But I don't think you asked anyone else to do difficulty ratings or judge files

The waning of the stepmania simfile community has been true for a long time now

I wouldn't call it drama though tbh

for the lcpacks it was suppose to be group judging. while at the beginning most everyone participated usually there was only pat left to judge. this happened every time
