Newbie Question Thread
Got a question not covered by the various FAQs available sitewide? Ask them here.
For example: Q: Man that Pseudo Enigma guy is a real ****wad, how do I block seeing his posts? Q: Where can I request a profile? Q: Who is the top player on the site? If you ask it, chances are someone here knows it. edit: I hope this thread is as useful as I think it will be. I just realized we didn't have one of these, so I thought it needed to be here. Re: Newbie Question Thread
Well normally people just ask their questions in the FAQ thread if they have any, or make a topic about whatever it is they're asking.

Re: Newbie Question Thread
well I figured that most people don't think to post in the FAQ, and that it's kinda clogging up other threads and just the general section with questions. I thought putting this here would also inspire others to ask questions.

Re: Newbie Question Thread
The way I tend to do it involves a neat thing called the Snipping Tool. It freezes the screen, then lets you select a portion of it to save as a picture file (instead of pressing Print Screen and copying the whole thing to the clipboard, then cropping from there). Google it.
I just drag the cursor over the game screen, save the screen capture, then I go to my profile and upload the picture I just took. After doing that, you go to your photo album, look at the newest picture and there will be a line of gibberish that will paste your picture in the forums for all to see when you copy and paste it. TLDR version: -Download, install Snipping Tool -Do omg insane -Run Snipping Tool, select game screen, save as picture file -Upload picture file to FFR profile, get embed link -Paste embed link in forums

Upon downloading, there are only two key combinations you need to know about for the most part: Ctrl+Shift+2 to take a picture of the window Ctrl+Shift+4 and click and drag to take a picture of the selected space The picture is uploaded, and immediately sent to your clipboard. From there, merely set up a new post, paste the image link to [img] tags, and you're set! the link: http://puush.me/

ymia wow, thank you lol
i never did it that way, i just saved the pic and uploaded it using puush.me, but the key command to save and cut it directly is so much more valuable (dont judge me, i just got puu.sh like 1 week ago) |

This has been bothering me for the longest time...
So I've been trying to figure this out for a while now: how does one hit more than 3 keys simultaneously? I'm not talking like physically, but like as far as hardware is concerned is there some setting that I need to change on my computer that allows me to press dfjk all at once?
Thanks guys! |

If you have a keyboard that does not allow input from more than 2 keys on the same line, try using two keys on one line while using two keys on another line. For example, let's say you usually use DFKL. These four letters are on the same line (asdfghjkl;'). If you have a dell Keyboard, input from more than 2 of those keys will not be accepted. So instead, use DF on the alphabet side while using 1 and 2 on the number pad side. When hitting 3 keys at once, it's important to know that, as I've already stated, not ALL keyboards will allow this from more than 2 keys on the same line, so it's really important to know the exact setup of that keyboard you're using. I know a lot of laptop keyboards (At least 90% of them) all this kind of input. |

Generally all keyboards have an optimal setup for 4key play If you cannot find one that works for you - there are many USB keyboards for cheap Generally logitech keyboards are very good. If you want to go a bit more expensive... take a look at this site - many people have tested models for NKRO and you can look these models up. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...ng-(NKRO)-list
