Point still stands, Urgot has a range lower than 500 (actually lowest among ranged champs along with morg and karma) and he still gets picked competitively so ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE JUST BELIEVE

Yes, they did.
But most players aren't "pro" so they can't really play like that sadly, same for many champs. Since Urgot is basically a counter carry.
I've seen Alistar mids counter Evelynn mids.
Urgot is extremely situation too.

That being said most people can't people can't play him, making his ranked win/loss very low.
I've done just fine with him in a custom match since I used him as a counter carry and we won quickly... But if the game went late i'd be screwed to shit.

My initial post was in response to saying Thresh has a lower than 500 autoattack range and so he would be a bad ADC. He's not a GOOD carry for variuous reasons but it's clear that the problem is not just his range (as Urgot with an even lower autoattack range can work) but his kit as a whole not really working with the ADC role. I think he would be a very good bot lane bully/kill lane AD if you could autoattack while using his Q and E, but you can't.
