(Don) Luna's Tower -- don makes perfect simfiles. they're not always exceptional, but they're perfect. he follows a set of rules and theorems he's established for himself to the T, and this results in consistent, elegant, often deceptively simple charts with more than a little Kil influence to them. he basically wins every recent pack for me, and this one is no exception.

(hi19hi19 vs Scintill) The Cataclysm -- basically classically fun as all hell. there's not an off pattern in the thing, the rhythms are simple, yet quick and accurate, and it's fantastic as is for scoring as well as on rates. reminds me of a cleaner version of the old GLoVE style.

(Rumia) lmbo -- anyone who knows me knows Kil's gonna be on my top 5 list if he's got a file in the pack. no description necessary, file's a micro-masterpiece.

(mi40) Lawn Wake III -- congrats to mi40 for making almost all the tough scoring files haha. using LWIII pretty much as a blanket selection for all his dnb charts. they're not especially groundbreaking (especially in music choice rofl), but they're consistently of A-grade quality, clean patterns while retaining difficulty and fun, which is not easy to pull off. great stuff, i'll be playing this again and again for quite some time.

(Torrent) Robotomy -- hated this when i first played it. hated it. but pretty soon i was floored by how much choof has improved as a simfile author in general, and by the intense challenge this song in particular posed. there's no discernible structure or purpose to the track (hell i'd pretty much believe it if you told me the file was stepped and then the song made for it later), and the steps reflect that rofl, but that just makes it all the more difficult to make a consistently interesting/fun file. you have all the leeway in the world with your pattern choices with a song like this, and choof chose successful ones for almost all of its 5+ minute length, despite the preposterously complex rhythms. props, this will be a scoreboard favorite for some time.

tbh I would've had robotomy as #1 but it didn't feel right putting a file i helped make at #1 lmao
