Default RE: "Sweet" Sixteen

The reason why 16th birthdays are "sweet" is because a long time ago, it's when parents would allow their daughters to go on dates with boys. 15, no. 14, no. But at the age of 16 the girls would be allowed to date boys.

It isn't a sweet sixteen for guys. Sorry to burst your bubble, Q, it's just not special for you.

Just like quincinera(spelling?) for girls of hispanic heritage. It's a strictly girl-thing. Guys don't have quincineras.

You should eat churros at your birthday party so that way it is literally a "sweet" sixteen.

Or you could go jogging and make it a "sweat" sixteen. My god, I think I have just invented the worst joke ever.

Ask for money. Or, have a party and charge money to get in. For my Sweet Sixteen I got a thunderstorm and empty promises. But, I also got $2,000. all in all I made out even.

Why don't you go on that crazy new MTV show called "Sweet Sixteen" and have a
multi-million dollar party and allow the people from MTV to follow you aroung for
a couple of weeks. And allow them to have something go horribly wrong at your
party and everything.

That is the kind of trivia that I live for. Thanks, Jurs. You need not buy me anything. And you got the right spelling, by the way.

Ok, so money?

For the record... I did point out at the start of my last post that Sweet Sixteen was for girls only. Just didn't throw any history into it. *shrugs*

Also... PA/NY (the 2 states I live in) are both 16 for permit. My licence is in PA which is 16 for permit, 16+6months for license.

I had some good birthdays:

13th was the same day as my Bar Mitzvah. Had a HUGE party with like 150 people.
17th was when I lost my viginity
18th was the first time I got so drunk that I puked... and oh boy did I puke. (was visiting my brother at the University of Dayton)
19th wasn't all that great... just went to Hooters with some buddies and was forced to dance in front of everyone, including the extremely attractive waitresses.
20th... went to Orli's out in LA.
21st... did nothing.

That's great and all but it has no relevance to the topic.

I bought a Nintendo DS recently...get that..it's awesome. The new Nokia 6255i is sweet.. Pre order either and Xbox 360 or a Nintendo Revolution..ask for some expensive getaway, or a car. Go all out. I'll be 18 this year, I'm all over that.

I no longer do anything for birthdays except eat food at a restaurant, and get a couple presents. This year, my dad's going to be out of town, too. =/

Ask for a punching bag. I know I am.
