Do you rage?

I'm similar to leonid. I don't wreck stuff. The most physical thing I might do is to press buttons harder or grip the controller harder. However, I could snap at someone if I get frustrated or if I was distracted. Even then, that's still quite rare.

Best example for me though was the Super Monkey Ball series on Gamecube. What a lip-biting game.

This game takes the cake for getting me pissed off, broke the down arrow off my laptop after lag made me miss a note at the end of what was going to be a AAA run. Now if i get pissed i just mash RATO or DP until I calm down lol

Hell, that's what I do when I get heated with this game. Just play hard ass songs till I can't remember what I'm angry at and then just stop playing.

Fuck... I just get mad at any game I play when I fuck up or when something annoying happens over and over and over in a short amount of time. It's just the repetition of it all, I can get by having it happen a couple times, but when the same guy kills me 5 times in a row, or when I miss an arrow in the same spot 5 times in a row, or someone stuns me in a game repeatedly... I just lose it.

It's a downward spiral for me, so most of the time I know to just leave whatever I am doing and go do something else that doesn't require any sort of success or failure.

I used to rage at a lot of video games a couple years ago. Like Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360. I broke 2 controller and a headset due to rage.... It was that bad.

I also broke one keyboard from FFR because I got really pissed and punched the hell out of my keyboard.

After that I just get frustrated but I don't rage anymore.

I haven't legitimately raged for as long as I can remember, beyond a few quiet swears to myself when I get really frustrated. I just shrug it off afterwards, and never get angry.

I used to rage a lot with games. My dad was a poor role model in that respect, because he'd rage, and also still rages, when losing in any of the Mario Kart games. lol.

I've learned to shrug it off, though. The more you get angry at a game, the more you fail. I've found that humor can be a good tool when losing at a game. For example, when I end up losing due to a trap or other trial-and-error surprise, I might sing to myself "BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO CUUUTTTT ME OFFFF!"

Now, when my computer/internet starts acting up, that's a different story. Then I start angrily talking to it like it's alive and is purposely screwing with me.

I still rage at Gears of War 3 whenever I'm on. the online is just so god damn frustrating at times, I *thankfully* do not lose it to the point where I throw my controller or punch my xbox or anything. I've raged a few times at codmw2 to the point where I punched my TV :///.

FFR rages were never too bad, all though I did slam my fists down on my keyboard tray and ending up breaking it. I had to tell my parents that I feel asleep on it and it ending up snapping lol.

The only game that sets me off to the point of berzerk mode is Super Meat boy. Which is easily the most frustrating thing I ever had the misfortune of playing. Seriously, I can't take that game.

So, any games that set you off? Do you never rage at games?

Yes and no. The only game I've ever legitimately got pissed off from is in fact FFR. Other games that might have rustled my jimmies a bit include: CS 1.6 and L4D2. The rest i might have gotten a tad butthurt but thats about it. Even in MMO's getting ganked never really pissed me off, in fact, i was more than likely the asshole running around ganking people.

On FFR I rage... A lot. Every time. It's still fun though, so that's why I keep playing it...

And I have my plushies to calm me down anyway, so it's all good. ^^

This. I don't mind losing if I actually mess up, but a lot of games just seem to say "you retry now!" for no real reason and it makes me break things. Love skill. Hate luck.

Worlds Hardest Game caused me to smash my 2500 dollar Macbook back about 5 years ago.

I smashed about 8 mice and keyboards

Put a hole in my wall from my big tank monitor when I threw it.

I smashed my Laptop 4 fucking times because of League of Legends... (The hardrive fell out)

I broke my phone once playing a fucking flash game lol

When I got hacked on runescape I chucked the coffee table and broke it.

I have calmed down more now but I still get those moods where I wanna fuckin slaughter a baby... I usually fistsmash my keyboard. nothing more

Oddly enough not anymore, but when I played games such as LoL esp. with other people, I occasionally let the rage out on either the opposing team or my teammates

and no i dont destroy my stuff even when in rage i just yelled or cursed a bit and everything was k in a few mins

haha.. I rage a lot more than I would like. I haven't had any episodes of breaking anything though, just controller tossing out of sarcastic disgust. The only time this happens is when I've been playing something too hard for too long lol

aimbot accuracy in single player is unforgivable lol

I rage a LOT whether it be in the forums of FFR/Engine of FFR to PVP in LoL or WoW.

I've went through a grand total of 25 keyboards in regards to FFR and about 10 mouse's in regards to WoW. lol There comes a point when you are at a stand still in some games and it gets frustrating you can't get that extra "perfect" to AAA a song you have a BF on, to getting that one last strike in WoW to get that extra kill.

I went 19-1 in Arathi Basin in WoW one day and the kill came at the last 10 seconds so I was close to getting the Achievement "Wrecking Ball" which was highly honored back in the day. Took me a whole year to go back in there and go 42-0 to finally get it.
