Simfile Request: Pendulum's The Fountain ($5-$10 reward!)

So I've been really really really in love with Pendulum's song The Fountain, and I desperately want a simfile made for this. I'm willing to buy you a gift (no paypal cause my card and paypal hate each other) of $5 if it's a good file, $10 for an amazing one. This will only be awarded to one person, so I won't be picking a winner right away.

Now for a major requirement of this file that I will NOT negotiate:
It must be a freezes/holds file of considerable difficulty. By considerable difficulty, think around low 80 in FFR difficulty scale. So holds in the midst of streams with jumps coming every few notes would be around what I'd like. And yes, I do realize that posting this on FFR, where the engine does not support holds/freezes, seems silly, but I know that there are Stepmania stepartists in here who also enjoy playing those types of files, and I hope that they come forward with an amazing file. If you feel that this song is unsteppable, feel free to post so with solid reasons why. Also, I'd be fine with some parts being cut so long as you let me know first.

To get a better idea of what I'd like, play Trick Track (Heavy) and Grace (Expert) from Roar176's Freezes: Google is your friend!

I don't see it being a problem, but try to avoid patterns that require fast jacking/vibrating as I'm rather poor at these due to a combination of lack of jacking skill plus switches that are not good for jacking (Cherry MX Red).

Its not a bad song for stepping honestly. A little repetitive but if you're creative you can fix that with fun patterns.

If your file falls a little bit short on the difficulty side, worry not. I realize not all songs can be stepped as hard as wanted, so I'll be a bit lax on that. Also, with the official going on, take your time. This is merely a request, so go get that AAA before working on this, mmkay?

Considering the fact that most Pendulum is between 173-176 BPM and doesn't utilize much sampling past 16th notes, it's going to be incredibly difficult to pull a chart of respective difficulty.

If no one is working on it, I have no problem doing it for you because a.) I know the song inside and out due to playing it on ITG quite a bit and b.) I really like the song, haha. It probably wouldn't make the low 80 requirement, though.

Alright, review time! Prepare for undercoverage as I have no clue how to review.

I really liked what you did with the file. It all flowed very nicely, and had plenty of those holds I've been dying to play with. The jumpstream parts were an unexpected surprise, but they went with the song and were enjoyable to play through.

However, I feel like you left out a key layer in beats 24-39, 88-103, 152-167. I didn't really feel anything was put down to go with the vocals in these sections.

All in all, an 8/10.



Now that we have one person who's finished, I'd like to ask you guys a couple things. First off, I'd like to get a count of everyone who is participating so I don't accidentally give out the prize while someone is still working on their file. Also, would it be fair for everyone to get two tries at this, or should it be a one shot deal? Lastly, what are some things you guys would like to see as a prize? As mentioned in the OP, paypal and my card have problems with each other, so I'm thinking of just buying the prize and giving it to the winner. Remember, $5-$10 price range.
