Maybe it's this... but I did really enjoy HeartGold and Black, so I hope just because the trailer doesnt "wow" me, the end-product will deliver a great experience.

That being said I should really check out / buy Black, White 2 because I heard they are very very good improvements upon not only the original BW but also advance the series as a whole.
(TONS of end-game content, difficulties, achievements iirc, character development etc.)

I'm sure they're going to smooth it over somehow. I thought B/W2 was an april fools joke but I ended up liking it a bit.

I too feel that the game looks too much like a DS game (especially compared to what I've seen the 3DS be able to do ie. Kingdom Hearts), but having 3D sprites and battle animations would take up a fair amount of the game's storage, I'd assume.
But dang have I been waiting for one of these ever since I had 647/647 (seen/caught) on Black a year and a half ago. I didn't care for B2/W2 as I didn't need anything aside from Genesect (and got him anyway), and I constantly said to anyone who bugged me about it: I don't care.

Welp, new generation? I care again.

Already? Didn't they just come out with Black and White the other day?

The 3D feel will definitely be neat, and it's guaranteed to get people on the fringe to buy a 3DS, myself not included. I missed out on gen 5 and I feel glad to be out of the loop since training pokemon is such a burden sometimes.

Ya I squealed liek a girl when I saw fennekin...................

I still wanted a Wii/WiiU based rpg but then again this isn't so bad if this lives up the the expectations it made from the trailer... I also hope the story is good cause I feel they already used up ideas for apocalypse etc, (3rd and 4th gen) so what could possibly top that I mean?

5th gen and black and white 2 were lackluster games with bad theming, no epic value, nothing to captivate the player.

as much as they try to add new content and side quests, I find the story tragically short and doesn't expand on any of the other regions which i'm still waiting for since they did so in 2nd gen (which is best gen).

What were you expecting, a classic FF? 5th gen was > fine. It's mostly our fault for playing games that need to be written down to 11 year olds when some of us are more than twice their age.

Fennekin is cool, but cool is boring sometimes. I think the frog is hilarious, and will likely be picking him when I manage to procure this game.

I don't think I've really loved a pokemon game since 2nd gen. I'm not sure this game will really be much different than the others, but I'll try it out when it's released I guess.

I'm debating on whether or not I should buy a 3DS to play this game. As someone who hasn't been in the Pokemon loop since 2nd gen and hasn't owned a Nintendo DS, I'm not sure if the investment is worth it.
