That argument is stupid. You just don't have to like it, it's in the game and the music is set to cater to all kinds of people, someone else liked it enough to chart it so it's still fine even if it's a pony song or high pitched J-pop. You don't have to like it, but there's more than you here to cater to, so tough shit. That's just how it goes. Props though that you're trying to expose artists, that's certainly a good thing. I'll be trying to play these later. |

Ehhen is WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. I'm reminded of Love and Justice. The streams aren't that fast, they're just so goddamn dense and persistent. It's starting to look like I might have to mash this a bit.

Figured lightning strikes again would be love or hate. I felt compelled to step the whole song though. Rarely do marathons lmao
I don't think people should be prevented from speaking their mind on song choices since they're the people playing the game. Really though if ya don't like the song no matter how good the steps are, probably just don't play it. And trust me, I have an incredible amount of animosity towards pony music and its entire fandom, but that doesn't give me a reason to discredit a perfectly good simfile

I don't really care about which songs get placed into FFR, so I'm not trying to tell people to stop stepping MLP songs. However, you can't argue, "ignore it". Here is a fairly long example. You are now playing Tekken. A character is added. Don't play that character. A character is added. ![]() Don't play that character. A character is added. ![]() Don't play that character. Repeat until you have a rather large selection of the character screen as MLP characters. Would people get annoyed? Ignoring things only works when the subject being ignored doesn't directly involve you. You are not asking him to ignore anything; you are asking him to tolerate.

Tekken is a bad example because it's on a MUCH smaller scale than FFR. There are 1200+ public songs in the game. Even if one MLP song is added every week, that's not that hard to ignore.

Scale has nothing to do with my example. You completely missed my point.

Scale has MUCH to do with your example. "A large selection of the screen as MLP characters." Large in this case is relative to how many total things there are. It's not that hard to ignore, see it and skip past it, sounds enough like ignoring to me.

A 5 minute SSH file gets added for D5. You dislike it. Don't worry, just ignore it!
A pony file gets added for D6. Don't worry, just ignore it! Play with sound off. Don't worry, this totally doesn't go against a rhythm game! These songs make your avrank worse. Don't worry, just ignore it! Voice an honest opinion you have and receive 2 or more pages of bashing. Don't worry, just ignore it! |

Define large. I'm sure your definition is much different than mine.
Just because you gave off some numbers (1200+, etc), does not mean I have. If you don't like my use of the word large, then ignore it.

i really find it hard to believe that everyone's hating on a song because PONIES.. if it didn't have fluttershy in the title i wouldn't have known it had anything to do with ponies..

Should I have used the word accept instead of tolerate?
Would you rather me use endure?

I seriously don't know what the big deal is with some people not enjoying some of the songs added in game. There's no way in piss any single person out there enjoys all 1400+ songs in game at the moment. If a song gets added that you don't like, fucking deal with it, holy shit. I can understand validated arguments about poor quality stepcharts being accepted and put in the game, sure. But holy fuck, if a song with an acceptable stepchart gets added to the game, yet you don't like the song but feel compelled to play the hell out of it for ~*~MaX StATs!~*~, just stop complaining and play with the volume off. Again, every single person on here has played through several songs that they didn't enjoy listening to, and I can guarantee that not everyone has complained. Just deal with it. Music is music.
I feel bad for anyone that's playing this game solely to maximize their stats. It makes the game feel like work instead of, you know, a game. Anyone sharing that mindframe (setting priority on maximum stats first) would logically prefer that no more files are added to the game, as every new file added increases the potential for more un-AAA'd songs to be added to your levelranks. And if that were to happen, this game would die so incredibly fast lol. Have more fun with the game guys, honestly. If you feel compelled to play a song you don't like for stats, turn the volume off. Sure Dossar, it defeats the purpose of a rhythm game, but as seeing 'ignore this song and play the others you enjoy' isn't a justifiable response given that you feel compelled to play the chart for stats, it's really the only option. People are making this a way bigger deal than it should be. |

Pretty much what I was thinking. There are less than 10 seconds of vocals in the entire song.

lol @ this thead. You don't see me getting upset just because some j-pop or anime song got into FFR. Stop being a bitch about it, AAA it, and get it over with. Otherwise, as stated before, if it irritates you that badly, mute or don't play the file at all. Pony files aren't going to go away just because you don't like them.
