I might submit to this, but I can safely tell you that unless you're asking people to submit full charts, 2 charts is pretty pointless unless the easier chart is actually padable. it's catering to literally nobody and everyone here only plays the expert chart anyways. the whole too many packs argument is dumb because it ultimately depends on who's running it and who will actually finish said pack. RIGHT LURKER

Most of the smo userbase plays easier files. FFR players have been playing for a long time and are probably used to incredibly hard dump files, but that really isn't the norm.
I'd prefer there to be two charts in order to appeal to most people, but perhaps full chart simfiles would be even better. That is just more work though.

it's more work, but you maximize your audience. just having two charts doesn't cater to many people and the simfile artists may find it tedious to do, since the majority of them would rather play their own expert charts.

the irony is that a pack where every song has a 9-11 itg level pad chart and a decent 4key chart would be made for me
actually not really needs 6key

If this pack is serious and isn't planning to be released for awhile then I wouldn't mind judging. My current full-time job is only seasonal so I will be gainfully self-employed only after mid-January.
If I judge I'll actually work on the 1/10th completed file (one of them) sitting in my SM.

Step 1: Pick a 6 minute song Step 2: Step 30% of it Step 3: Cut the song at 2 minutes Works every time! |

Song length is irrelevant. Many people don't have the patience to play long files so 2 minute songs are fine.
With all the other projects going on right now, I'm not expecting a completion date earlier than 3 - 4 months, but I guess I don't actually know. I want about 50 files. 40 minimum As for full stepcharts, I'm all for it. I think I tried to do that when I started some other pack that didn't go anywhere so I figured full charts were just too much work for people. |

I've known that forever. I don't really like the fact that I might make different people make charts for the same songs, but I guess we have to do whatever it takes to get it done

pr0tip; copy/paste whatever you can and make it look like it's not copy/pasted by using ctrl+m (magic key) in ddream Do people even play the easier difficulties? Don't let your pack die for a reason I think serves little purpose, other than if your song if ridiculously difficult, borderline is a joke file... |

I'm not sure if you were around for the original SMO, but there were rooms for pad files NONSTOP. Much of the old leaderboard consisted of people who only played DDR and ITG files. So if it's anything like it used to be, then yes. Definitely enough people play easy shit for it to be a factor
