So i posted this same thing on the osu forums but they basically told me to go eat a dick, so heres what I said
Does anyone find a huge difficulty gap between 4 and 5 star charts? Like the difficulty flows smoothly from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, but then 5 star is basically 5-15 star difficulty. So I got 1 great S rank on a 4 star, then failed every 5 star I tried to play. I needed to Nofail and got like 20-60% accuracy :P. Some of them I could almost pass or pass on Easy mode. Wtf? Its like in ffr if everything > 7 ft was just rated 8ft. |

osu doesn't have a good difficulty system, so most just ignore it and remember about how hard most songs are as they play them.

 I dont care if something sucks, but why did they try to defend it and say its my fault for not dealing with suck? Bad community FFR is great about dealing with newbies if they post. |

Oh sorry I didnt bring this up before. 300 point explosions can be larger than the circles on the same point, leading to invisible misses on the first play. Any tips for avoiding that?
I know I probably need to replace my default skin somehow, but theres a million skins and all I want is tiny afternote explosions |

I think you might be able to prevent the explosions by going into options in the game and unchecking "Hit Lighting". You can also go to the actual skin folder and delete a file also called "Lighting". Hopefully it fixes your problem haha.
