The stream with a chat is at the following link:
http://240bpm.com/ [Sorry this post is kind of out of order, Just wanted to get all the info in one post.] Tournament starts at 3pm EST today and will go until it's over - but we've got the stream up already. Entrants: Archi/Ian Krushrpants/Bryan Rawinput/Mike Zetorux/Phil Captain Black/Rich Steve Reen/STEVEREEEEEEN Day 1 (Today) - everyone will play one song and the scores they get will be ranked to determine placement. On Day 2 (Sunday), the tournament is gauntlet-style, much like Bearpocalypse was. Each entrant will play six songs I've pre-determined, with a maximum of three-minutes for break in between each. At the end, the players will be ranked according to their cumulative score on the songs. On both days, each player will have 20 minutes to warm-up. Bracketing/mashing/etc. is not allowed; if you start to bracket, you're done with that song, and the score you get after you walk-off and fail is what will be recorded. Use your common sense here; I'm not going to split hairs over one-footing a jump or bracketing some 8ths, but mashing through streams is not okay. Everyone will be playing the Pendulum: Hold Your Colour marathon, which consists of every song from the Hold Your Colour album, back to back, in album order. They are as follows: (16) Slam (15) Plasticworld (11) Fasten Your Seatbelt (11) Through The Loop (15) Sounds Of Life (15) Girl In The Fire (15) Tarantula (11) Out Here (15) Hold Your Colour (14) The Terminal (15) Streamline (16) Another Planet (16) Still Grey On day two, the songs are as follows: (16) Gate Openerz (17) -273.15 (17) One More Lovely After Hours (17) Testament of Will (17) Magic Cycles (17) Moonearth Saturday, September 22nd: 3:00 PM: First player - Ian 4:30 PM: Second player - Bryan 6:00 PM: Third player - Rich 7:30 PM: Fourth player - Phil 9:00 PM: Fifth player - Steve 10:30 PM: Sixth player - Mike Sunday, September 23rd: 11:00 AM: First player - Steve 12:30 PM: Second player - Bryan 2:00 PM: Third player - Rich 3:30 PM: Fourth player - Mike 5:00 PM: Fifth player - Phil 6:30 PM: Sixth player - Ian Scores will be posted to the following pages: http://groovestats.c...s1/saturday.php http://groovestats.com/ecs1/sunday.php Last edited by krushrpants; 09-22-2012 at 07:13 PM.. |

Neat. I'll definitely be watching to see how this goes. I was a huge fan of the way that Bearpocalypse was run, and I definitely would like to see the players involved here.

Awesome to have a scoreboard haha, pretty awesome when you're not able to watch the stream.
Are the scores going to be shown individually (song by song) or just the average score per song? |

There's something simultaneously reassuring and terrifying about watching people beat what you could get with your fingers on a keyboard, with their feet on a pad...

He did beat me! But double the ex count and ~40 less misses. Guess I was conserving a little too much, oh well. NEVER PLAYING THIS AGAIN EVER. |

The second part of the tournament is happening right now -- check it out by going to the link on the first post. There's some pretty crazy stuff going on here.
