I never said it was the "end of the world" too lmfao. At least the livestream thread is centered in one thread, and most other brag-worthy threads are seen as accomplishments, given that they worked hard to achieve those scores. It's also a rhythm-gaming centered forum, so what should you expect from a bunch of competitive group of people? Certainly not AMA lmfao.

I'd do a "Shakira AMA" thread, but I'm sooooo lazy.

Yeah Iironiic I see your points. I guess you are right IF ffr is serious enough that people are really bothered by this fad taking place in chit chat which I don't really know. I just know personally this interested me and idc myself.

That was just an exaggeration lmao. But at first the livestream threads were not centered in one thread. And I agree bringing up brag board threads was a bad idea on my end.

Then why do we have a Chit-Chat forum? I think that anything in there, including the AMA thread's are completely irrelevant to the rhythm-gaming centered forum. Hence why it's Chit-Chat.

It's not because the community is serious, but rather, a waste of space on the forums simply because it is a thread devoted completely about yourself. I will admit that it is interesting to see the responses, but it's best to keep it on a random thought level for the respect of those on the forums who actually don't care about you. I hope you all now see why I find this fad silly.

Well all fads are found silly by someone. AMA's are interesting way to get to know someone/something. Plus half of the threads were done wrong. They're not supposed to be super personal. ie; Middie, Choof, moches etc.

Also keep in mind, that if this fad had started on profiles, it would be unsolicited and no one would ask interesting questions outside your normal group of friends. If I'm gonna answer questions about myself/topic I'd want to answer questions from people I normally don't talk to. Which wouldn't happen if it was on my profile. So how would I go about making it more public to get decent responses? The forum.

My point still stands.

We never came across such an idea like this (albeit, it is from Reddit) so we thought it was a good idea and decided to join in.

Welcome to FFR, where we bandwagon on ideas and have people make it controversial.

This isnt really anything to make a big deal about, they will eventually die out. Dont think the idea itself has enough to keep the threads lasting long before they get closed for something stupid or just die out on its own.

You can be creative with your signatures and advertise your random thoughts there. Advertise on ProChat, I don't know. Really is up to you to figure that out. There are a bunch of other things that you can do about it. I agree that it is an interesting way to meet someone, but would it be much more interesting to just strike a conversation with that person and discover all of that yourselves?

Does bandwagoning ever gets old for you all? I may be a little biased. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on people younger than me. Feel free to bandwagon in any case if that makes you satisfied.

True, I'll just let the forums do whatever it wants. The fad will eventually end haha.

Guess I am outnumbered, so I'll speak no more about this.

It may be devoted to people asking questions about "me's" but why would this not be allowed in a chit chat forum along with asking questions about any other one thing or specific subject like how to do my homework or "insert celebrity name or person in news here"? I don't care about those two things at all but other people might, and other people might like answering those questions.

Why would making a thread centered around myself change whether it should be on here? Also this was already mentioned but random thoughts wouldn't get the "full crowd" to make it interesting. These threads are still progressive in the sense that we learn more about each other. Also I don't think this breaks any site wide rules. Anyone who isn't interested is free to not click on any of them. If there are "too many" made I don't know who can judge as to what is too many and what is annoying as it seems a bit subjective to me. And other people might not think it's a waste of space, not just the thread creator. Also the "respect meter" of the people participating and the people not participating goes both ways.

If the threads were getting no responses from anyone then I'd agree no one cares, don't make the threads. But there seems to be a general interest from at least a handful of people. Subforum would work.

That does make sense. But statistically speaking, it would be more beneficial to have your thread on the home page.

Bandwagoning does get old, but it's also the oldest form of propaganda that's effectively used today. Feel free to voice your opinion on the matter, this isn't a steamed argument, moreso just a tedious debate. I'm still curious of your opinion.

In all seriousness, your being upset has no relevance. The threads have stayed on track and as far as I can tell there hasn't been any trolling in any of them, which is to be honest rather surprising.

It's no different than the thread asking about the D6 players on ffr about themselves or the "question for stepartists" thread, except this is a lot more open forum to ask whatever and you can actually get to know anyone who makes one

So I have no understanding of why you're upset, you seem a little pissed off for literally nothing. If profiles where the only way we could socialize then why do we even have a forum in the first place
