Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS.

The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world.


The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.


Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to /a/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

The big groups of kiddies who cosplay from Naruto and Bleach around London on a daily basis for no reason annoy me even more than the show. I don't mind cosplay at all, but not around the busy streets of London every other day while attempting to pull of justus and be loud annoying weeaboos. They're even worse in the arcades, crowding around machines like a flashmob and trying to play rhythm games in their 4 layers of cosplay that smells like it's never been washed since they bought it.

Oh, and I've watched about 30 episodes of the show and it's too long and is boring. Bbl watching Outlaw Star.

If Naruto wasn't full of fillers that obviously were made to promote specific life values rather than actually making the story move on, the anime may not have been too bad. While I have nothing specific against these episodes, it's another story when they're 90% of the show itself and you lose the feeling of progression in the story. It's no longer "what happens next?" but "are the fillers over yet?". Bleach seems to suffer the same fate and One Piece actually managed to keep things relatively interesting (I'm naming these two because they felt like they were the other 2 mainstream shonen animes airing at same time). As for the fan-base/cosplayers and general view from the outside, that's just marketing/bandwagon/hype(?) and there's not much that can be done about that.

The anime is average. I wouldn't suggest it unless you have a lot of time to kill.
