Crowdpleaser v2 goes from a semi-serious file to a Dossar file at the musical equivalent of that 64th trill from v1... and we all know the horrendous red roll at the end is there for suicidal purposes.

man, I'm surprised towards all of the hate towards Crowdpleaser v2. It might not be the most amazing file on FFR, but it's leaps and bounds better than v1 and Dossar actually -tried- to be creative with the file. The end of the chart where all those white notes are certainly adds a lot of difficulty; it's pretty tough to figure out exactly where things are, but I really like the roll at the end of the file -- if I were stepping a version of this song, I would have likely done an all single color pattern for where the 64th trill is in v1 in addition to something like that at the end.

Figured I'd post to let Dossar know that someone likes the file, haha.

what are you talking about? Everybody is supposed to jump on the bandwagon of hating on dossar without a good reason. How else are we all supposed to lose our individuality, duh

or just because we find the file not fun?

i found super signal force to be a good, fun file by him. if anyone else stepped crowdpleaser v2 like that, it would have been the same thing

I know, there wasn't a huge need for me to say that in this thread, but I'm spontaneous and just say stuff that comes to my mind.

anyways played through all the songs, they are all pretty cool. Definitely didn't see what was wrong with crowdpleaser v2 though, I enjoyed the steps I thought they were unique and fit it still. If you play more and more songs with weird patterns, instead of hating it you should appreciate the extra skill set you can learn. I know everybody likes jumpstream files and real technical stuff, but if you never play any awkward patterns you won't improve as much. Just my thoughts because my idea of awful charts are off sync synthlight charts, but even those build unique skills

yea I feel you on that, we all have different personal preferences. I just skimmed through all the posts real fast and it seemed like another "gang up on dossar" moments, but after reading again clearly that isn't the case haha

chronograph - equanimous

sonata pathetique - mov 1 - resplendent

windy valley (genesis'd) - banausic

crowdpleaser v2 - pertinacious

vs boss battle - what

I really liked CPv2, played it once and I'll play it plenty more I'm sure. Good job Dossar.

i'm going to disagree with this right here
about 75% of the file is just slow jumpstream, and while the original song is kind of monotonous, it isn't nearly as monotonous as this file makes it out to be
the ending having a gap in it for no reason doesn't help

also, at the whole "75% of it is (blahblah)", yes, it does have unoriginal portions in it, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that the ending at least has some thought/originality to it

it's just like last week's release with The Bird's Concrete Nosedive -- definitely wasn't a fan of the file, but there's certainly nothing wrong with it in terms of stepping rhetoric/pattern choice/whatever, it's just not the kind of file I enjoy playing, lol

It doesn't really matter to me that it's even Dossar who stepped it.

The chart is just all around boring. It has the same amount of hilariously stupid moments (if not one more actually) as the original chart (The amount of framer sections in the original was two I think, this chart has at least three.) The chart isn't fun. It doesn't really follow the song that great rythmically, I feel like I'm doing an Icy jumpstream chart for about the first half of it. The framers are the reason a V2 was even needed in the first place, and they reappear in the V2. It really is just all around a bad chart. The only good thing I have to say about it is that at least it's synced correctly this time. That's the only thing I'd say was done right. Pretty gross overall. Don't do it again for the love of hell Doss, you're a better stepper than that.

Just my two cents. I'm not speaking for everyone else here.

Anyone who's trying to jumptrill the last speedup roll in Crowdpleaser, don't do it. I specifically made it so you could actually be going to the speedup!

Moogy's file has a million more technical errors, some of them absolutely disastrous (that 64th clusterburst and the long 64th trill are entirely incorrect) along with many other misstepped parts. If you didn't find my file fun, at the very least do *not* compare it to a blatantly misstepped file.

Yyyyeah have fun with that jumpstream in Chronograph. I thought it played well, but if people aren't crazy about it oh well.~

My other file in the queue is -quite- different.
