![]() The only compatibility problem a hard drive can have is its connector. You computer have a SATA connector, as that hard drive do (It is the same in both links). So there shouldn't be any problem with it.
You don't have to buy a Western Digital hard drive either, as all makes will work correctly as long as it has a SATA connector. If you don't mind having a refurbished drive, you might want to check on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136591. If you do mind, there is also this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148766. |

![]() I've never seen a 40gb SATA rofl... I think your computer might be using IDE.
Google and install SIW, and find and tell us what the model of the harddrive is. SIW = System Information for Windows, it'll tell you lots of good info about your computer. |

![]() From what I can tell from here you have a SATA drive. Just get any SATA hardrive. Pretty much every hardrive on the market is these days. Also these things are super easy to install. You connect two wires to two slots, and you can optionally screw it in but I think it's a good idea. People have told me if it's not screwed in the vibrations from the disk spinning can screw be a contributing factor to a crashed drive.
