@ sticklydude; I'm playing exactly your way with a L shaped table.

I swap between planted and raised all the time depending on what pattern I'm dealing with.

If I play AIM Anthem, I'll start planted with the jumpjacks and switch raised with the tricky jack part.
If I play Coat Czech/Silence, I'll play planted all the way because it's giving me better accuracy on unfriendly patterns (weird bursts/anything with a lot of [2][1] or [3][4] in it)
If I play Purple, I'll play planted the beginning and swap raised for the end because it's short enough to keep up with and I'd rather have speed comfort and deal with the accuracy than being accurate but too slow to keep up.
If I play Grist, I'll start raised for the jacks and switch planted for the 32nd stuff until the end.

I think planted is better overall, I just have no clue how people hit semi-fast/fast jacks that way.

I can't have my arms vertical. They have to come diagonally or else I can't play.

Pretty much with Haku. It depends on the pattern. If it's really dense and jumpy my wrists are raised, if it's streamy, they're planted. I'll even have times when one wrist is raised and the other is planted like in AIM Anthem.

My right arm is weaker when playing so my left so my right is planted all the way up to my elbow. I angle my keyboard in such a way for this to happen. Left hand is raised, right hand is planted. I'm decent with jacks and anchors, but suck with jumpstream, only because it's hard for me to read.

I'll see if I can take a picture of how I play when I get home. I haven't seen anyone who plays like me yet lol.

My thumb joint sits on the edge of the keyboard, and my fingers make a C shape on the keyboard. I find this way I can jack faster in short notice.

edit: EN how many times are we going to post things at the same time? rofl

Wrists are almost always glued to my desk unless I'm trying to hit a slew of jacks.

My arms and hands are always raised, much like how one would play a piano.
I can't expressively smash my keyboard to the music when they are planted :P

raised if I'm playing for accuracy
planted when I'm conserving energy and stamina for harder files

years ago i played with wrists planted to laptop, but once when i picked the game back up my gf (a concert pianist) watched me play and ****ed with my form, so now i play with hands raised and cranked downward slightly (elbows pointing down). my right hand rests more toward the base but doesn't touch often. also i've begun playing with my entire laptop turned ~30 degrees counterclockwise for some reason

This position allows me to hit very fast and hard patterns, i rest them on the palm rest that comes with the keyboard

Depending on how jacky a song is, I rest my wrists on either 2 or 4 DVD cases (1 or 2 per hand)

Yes, it's a tad stupid-looking, but it (purportedly) slows the onset of CTS and my JS speed seems to go up a bit.
