I definitely want in, but I do not know what I should do in regards to which account to sign up with.

Should I just use my "v2" account, since that is the one I play FFR on?

Whichever one is your identity in the forums. Carlos signed up with his forum account instead of his playing account, that seems to be the case for you too.
