{Firestorm} - 8 or 9?
I never realized how troublesome this chart was.
Granted, this chart is fairly slow, but it's also very constant. It has quite a bit of layering that forces broken jumpstreams (jumps on every 4th). On top of that, there's two areas of the song that forces one finger (either the left arrow, or the right arrow in both sections) to anchor while handling broken triplet 16th patterns into and out of jumps. While this song might not be the most urgent of changes, there are a few level 9s that are a bit lighter than this (like Etude to a Dragon, or ESC (Super Version)). I think this is a possible candidate for a low 9. What do you guys think? |

I agree with you, due to the jump patterns. Like nickcool, this file gives me more problems than MAX Forever ever did. I'd agree with moving it to a 9.

I'd recommend a bump to 9. The awkward and consistent jump patterns are enough to make you lose your rhythm, and for myself it seems too high to be an 8 alone.

I disagree. I think this should stay an 8. while some of the patterns a tricky, the song is fairly constant. Also the overall speed of the song isn't fast enough to warrant a bump

Re: {Firestorm} - 8 or 9?
I also think it should stay as an 8. While this song tests competence at hitting awkward patterns and maintaining rhythm, its speed is much lower than the average 8. More difficult to PA than other 8s, but easier to combo.
