Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
I read this entire thread, lol. I think I'm gonna go to c600 with solo. I've been playing since maybe April or May but definitely not on a regular basis. I gotta get better at this game, and as previously said, it's a lot like starting from scratch.

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
BUMP FOR QUESTIONS
When stepping two parts of a song, say a synth melody and the main 4th beat, can you have both their steps on the same measure in the form of a quad? Holy **** that sounds retarded, let me try again. If stepping x for one part(synth melody) and z for another part(the 4th beat), as such: xx---- xx---- ------ xx---- --z--z ------ --z--z ------ Can you have: xxz--z xx---- --z--z xx---- Or is that just retarded? And I know people like to play patterns that are comfortable for them, so starting out, should I just make the patterns in a comfortable way for me, or should I try to work on being technical and have some pitch relevancy? Its my first file so I want it to be something worth playing, but I'm still inexperienced as a stepman so I dunno which way I should go

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
you might be able to do that fine, it's no more complex then doing 12 1 2 1 on singles
do not use pitch relevance if it means dumb patterns

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
That pattern isn't the greatest. It's okay since [12][3][12] patterns are the easiest of their kind, but there's just too much on the left.
I suggest this: xx-z-z xx---- ---z-z xx---- You have to think of the pattern for each hand separately instead of looking at all 6 columns at once.

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
Ah, that makes sense. I suppose it wouldn't be comfortable at all if you kept pumping out chords that used one hand more than another. It wouldn't be a huge deal if it were used sparsely though, right?

I did that and I pressed enter but then it gave me this error
"Multiple files match 'NoteSkins/common/default/Fallback Hold Head Active'. Please remove all but one of these files." |

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
That is because your current noteskin is not supported in 6key. Try using the default noteskin.

Re: Solo guide for awesome 6-panel sexiness!!
i actually really appreciate the work behind the guide, it gave my solo noob mind some insight. i'll try to play a bit more and maybe step some easy charts to see what i can do.
