iironiic did a good job stepping this. It poses a great challenge without going over the top. I think he exploited this song to its very limit and it's a good thing. It's just one of those high quality high-end FMOs again.

This one also has a Venetian Snares feel. Which isn't a good thing.

It may be their worst song so far, but I'm pretty sure D6'ers will love playing this one. I don't have the necessary playing skill and experience to back this up, so I have to admit that it's only a personnal feeling. I'm curious to read other players' feedback about it (because some of them, namely Halogen or OWA, keep track of their feelings about the songs on their profiles. Check them out, it's pretty cool to read out).
1. There is Nothing at all wrong with the D6 file. It is a completely well charted, fun to play, even if it seems almost on the FGO side of things.

2. Venetian Snares songs and charts in FFR are some of the absolute favorites to play as well as my absolute best scores (8.x.8.x on integraation
and Im only in D4) So I dont know what the heck you're talking about. Kono spoon was a joke, this isnt.

3. Not they're worst chart by a long shot compared to kono spoon.

Other than that though, you write pretty good reviews, I just took personal issue with the D6 one.

You got me wrong on that one though. I really loved it, and when I reread my crap, I noticed it feeled like I was saying it wasn't that cool. Sorry about that...

Thanks for the nice comments people! =) It's really appreciated!

I liked reading that review.

I'm not sure what issue you had with the"metronomic" feeling of Night Walker. I realize it's maybe not everyone's style though. It's supposed to be empty-ish at the beginning because the trills provide difficulty, and the rest- well, the song is empty-ish so the steps should be too? Just sit back and enjoy the song

Well, I charted it because it's my favorite S.S.H. song, maybe not everyone else agrees but I knew it would make for at least an "okay" file so I went for it.
Your opinion is well thought out and well articulated, I have no problem with constructive feedback. I'll keep your thoughts in mind!

There was nothing technically wrong with the beginning. I just felt that it was exploited in a too generic way, with metronomic taps and occasionnal mega random trills (ok they werent so random; unsuspected would be a better term).

As far as the song itself, it's my favorite of the bunch. I tied it with ochisukeruwakenaiwayo because that one was pretty much designed to be stepped.

And I didnt dislike it. I just think that even though its a cool addition to the game, its not représentative of the masterpieces you pulled off in the past.

I have 576 plays on Ochi so far...90% of them have been from autofailing on the first 20 notes because it is currently physically impossible for me to hit them. I've officially given up. GG D2.

Ever tried mirroring or muting the speakers? Or trying to play intoxicated (lol, ruins concentration but kills mindblocks and help relaxing)? Trying a different setup, or changing your speed mod?

Just some ideas... Dont give up buddy!

The guitar repeats a note there and it was slow enough to not be a problem if I put a minijack, so I did.

I have pretty much no concentration anyway when playing FFR. Like, I'll be intently watching the arrows, but then in my mind I'll start thinking about plans for tomorrow, the week etc.

And then I will think about consciously blinking, then my eyes defocus and look around my entire screen (yet I never screw up the combo, which I find odd).

My brain is very strange.

Incoming colorful post for this week!

(D1) Transparent White - Even D1 is starting to get a little bit harder now, huh? =P
This was a very nice chart. Good example of a fun file that doesn't have that many jumps - mad props to Silvuh for his speed and quality when it comes to making low intermediate-level stuff, heheh.

(D2) Ochitsukeruwakenaiwayo! [Standard] - Perhaps my favorite from this week? ^.^
The title (roughly translates to "there's no way I could calm down!") well fits the song, and so does the chart. Everything flowed nicely!
By the way, the typo on the front page article still hasn't been fixed yet, lol

(D3) Night Walker - Not much to say about this one. Thought it was rather straightforward. Good luck with the last 24th stream, all of you in D3 x3

(D4) Finder - Not too memorable, but good file nonetheless. A few tricky spots - should be interesting to see how D4 does for the rest of this round.

(D5) 0 (piano version) - Well! This sure brings back memories of me trying to pass 0 when I first started solo x3
Having just the piano sure gives the song a completely different color, haha.
The chart itself is a good challenge, though it seems like D5 is finding it rather easy.

(D6) Amen Iraq - Intense! Really cool file from my "brodda" Wilson here xD Aside from a couple of patterns that I found awkward (850~900, ~1300 combo with all those hands haha), it had very nice flow. Though... I'm going to play through the old version of this sometime and see if it's better than what's ingame now >8l
PS this is probably the song that will end my 6th official journey. I had fun!

Aha, that's pretty damn nice! We have similar thoughts about the songs!

But hey, don't give up yet!
