It might just be me, but it feels like the sync for {Stay With Me} goes off when the trips come in. The beginning feels fine, but every time the trips come in, it feels like it's almost a 16th early again, not sure if it's just me but I figured I'd point it out and see if anyone else heard/saw the same thing.

At 1st I was like trips? I have no hands in this song lol. But then AJ pointed out what it would be. He's checking now.

The rhythm is intentionally syncopated right before the run.

As always, posting sightreads of every division's files along with comments. Too much fun seeing the new charts for me not to do this ^_^

This chart is definitely missing notes. A shame, I really like the song and the steps and I'd love to see what it's like with all the arrows actually there. The two note gallops can just be jumped but the three and four note rolls are pretty tricky to PA. Definite step up in difficulty for D1!
7/10 for missing notes, but guessing it'd be a 10/10 if they were all there.

Real fun file. Another big step up in difficulty for D1, I dropped a boo and a good on the gallops. As a side note I really hope a harder version of this song is in the works for a later round, it's a great song with lots of energy and there are plenty more sounds in there to step.
9/10 file. Very fun for an easier file, cool rhythms.

Not really a fan of the song, but despite that the file was a lot of fun. I like the way bmah uses jumps. There's some tricky 1-handed patterns in here, especially on the right. D2 players might want to consider mirror if they're having trouble. The good was a dumb rhythm error by me.
9/10 file, did the most you could with the song for sure. Not a particularly amazing song choice though, I feel that's what was holding it back.

The 24ths into a (14) jump caught me by surprise, and I dropped a few goods randomly in the regular jumps too. I saw a section with slightly difficult 1-handed patterns. Overall fairly fun, also quite short which is nice!
8/10 file again. Pretty fun, but also somewhat disappointingly generic. Certainly nothing wrong with it though.

First thought: wow, AJ did a badass job cutting this song. Props on the audio work! Anyway, all my goods were from the jacks or 48th grace notes. Mercifully all the jacks except two are on the up arrow so you can mirror it if one hand is better at jacking than the other.
7/10 file, you can tell I stepped this a long time ago. Missed a bunch of interesting sounds, also inconsistent in the repeats and a tad long. Still a lot of fun though, in my opinion. (Once again my file is among the worst of the round >_>)

Actually had an BF on this just from a polyrhythm at the start, until the 8th anchors and dumped hard on that part. The (13) and (24) alternating jumps with the 1-handed trills were difficult, can't believe I AAA'd that part. 8th anchor part at the end is predictably my least favorite part, but I enjoyed most of the rest. Good flow in the 16th stream. By any chance was this adapted from a pad chart? It feels sort of like it.
10/10 file, my hate for that type of anchor thing shouldn't take away from the fact this is really fun and has great rhythmic variety and patterns.

This is a totally enjoyable D3 file for about 70% of it, low D4 for about 20% near the end, and then an utter shitfest for that brief 10% in the middle. Did not find this fun at all solely because of the jack section. The patterns around those jacks were very difficult in what was already the hardest part of the file, add in the fact that they were 2-handed jumpjacks and it's just bad.
6/10 file. I admit possibly I'm just not good enough at the game to properly appreciate the middle part, but regardless it's completely off in difficulty from the rest of the file. The fact that the other 90% flows well and is lots of fun somewhat redeems it.

CHILI BOWL CHILI BOWL CHILI BOWL CHILI BOWL~
10/10 file, awesome patterns in the jumpstream, cute color theory crap, possibly somewhat generic but really nothing to hate.

8th jack anchor section was the most difficult for me, in no small part because of the hilarious dialogue. Most of my boos were from there. Some tricky 16th note rhythms, and the 2 (13) 4 repeating pattern section was definitely also hard. The 1-handed trill at the start seemed a bit excessive but not a huge issue. Surprised I FC'd this song.
9/10 file. I can't find anything specific to dock a point for but it just wasn't completely blow my mind amazing, merely well made and lots of fun.

No issue with the 32nd burst at the start or the 1-handed trills (they're really slow... >_>), the hard part for me was definitely some sneaky hidden long down arrow jacks- one in a color note section and one in the 12th jumps at the end. It's no secret La Campanella is one of my favorite classical songs, and I really like this remix of it too. Very cool file, lots of awesome rhythms and interesting patterns. In my humble opinion the best of this batch by a long shot, props again
10/10 had fun, would play again.

Played it 2 more times for the FC. Real fun file. AJ master of finding polyrhythm songs to step.

Hi19, I just wanted to point out that N's farewell was our fault. The steps were there and something happened between when we reviewed it in SM and when it got converted. We're not sure exactly how they got lost, but we're going to fix it after this round since it's already being played.

I usually say hands when it's three notes at a time and trips when it's like that xD I guess everyone thinks of things differently.

Not quite sure what you mean, because I'm not talking about right before the run. It's the beginning of the trips, it sounds like there should be a note in between to make it all stream. But when I listened, where the blue notes are, it's almost as if there's no sound.

Like I said, I could just be hearing it wrong :P

Ah, I knew something was up.

Just read back in the thread and saw that yeah. A shame, but hey at least it makes it a bit easier for the D1 folks :P

Anyway two of my 3 favorites this round were from AJ, all the people hating on 1-handed trills better go break out their Czerny

Oh ok. I was also confused at why there was notes missing in the beginning. At 1st I was like "Huh? Where are the notes at?". Thanks for explaining that.

The whole area after the intro is one huge synthesized melody that lasts for well over half of the song, but to add variety, Kayla decided to add breaks in between notes to accent the highest notes and the two notes after. In music theory, the concept of taking apart a simple melody and piecing together a different, but more fitting melody is known as syncopation (in simplest explanations - a more thorough example: giving accent to a normally unstressed note in a melody that doesn't deviate much).

It was a pretty good idea on her part; most of the prevalent parts of the melody are accounted for.

I shouldn't give this tip, but this chart is actually meant to be played on Mirror. It makes all the little color stuff flow easier (at least for me )

You would make a chart that is meant to be played in a special way!
I can AAA this and I know I can. Just you watch.

I'm willing to bet Middie steps his songs, then mirrors them and sends them in, just so he can mirror them when he plays so it's the way he stepped it originally xD

I totally agree with this. He plays every song in mirror just from looking at his scores. Ah middie, don't let your mirror addiction follow you while stepping.
