Re: 1-hand bossing
Guys nothings wrong with one handed. If you're not trying to be #1, its totally fine, and the strategy is more complex. Nice playing!

Re: 1-hand bossing

Re: 1-hand bossing
Eh, I disagree, reading is always important, no matter how good or bad you might be at physically hitting notes. Bynary was pretty amazing at speed, but he would probably not have gotten the MA and speed scores he had without using a more normal speedmod.

Re: 1-hand bossing
They were well known one-handers. Hmm.. makes me want to try this song one-handed and see how far I get.

oh just a quick specification.
I play 1 handed with arrows. 3 fingers. not 4 fingers.

Re: 1-hand bossing
That's definitely the most fun playstyle for me. Best score I've gotten so far would probably be my FC on Novo Mundo.
Bynary was always miles ahead so no one's ever heard of me :c But, I'd say I'm catching up Pretty sure he retired though so I'm chasing a rock rofl Anyway keep doin' what you're doin', you're a pretty great one hander and I'd love to see some competition from you.

Re: 1-hand bossing
I assumed this - I think most one-handed players do it this way.

Re: 1-hand bossing
Eugh I think spread is more fun because it feels like I'm playing the song, but I can see why index/1 hand might be fun for some people because it's more dynamic.

Re: 1-hand bossing
I personally play onehanded with 4 fingers (ring, middle, index, thumb), not sure anyone else here does that (besides NekoGon when he tried it last time)

Re: 1-hand bossing
First of all, if you actually intend to raise your speedmod, don't listen to them. I found that I was most comfortable at 1.65X by going up .05 every few songs, making sure I was comfortable at each one before I moved up.
Also, I would suggest staying 1 handed. You'll be much more epic to people, including myself. I played one-handed 1X for about 3 years, then I found out I was able to change the speedmod, and I did. I had a major one-hand boost then. It only a couple months later before I switched to spread. /peer pressure. I kinda want to play a little 1 handed again now.

Pro 1-hander (3+thumb!)
|
Re: 1-hand bossing
I play this way as well. I started with just three and just found it more practical (imo) to add the thumb. I'm not sure why three fingers seems to be the dominate 1-hand technique when there are four arrows. But that's just my opinion.
