guess you forgot that there's a complete difference between AAA'ing a file and actually playing it.

Not by much, I mean, you have to play it to AAA it in the first place. And if it's awkward file to play, then you're that much less likely to AAA it. The only patterns in that file that are awkward for me are the burst shits at the end. Maybe for stavie it's more than just that.
I'm just not sure what you're getting at with that.

just playing the file for like a FC is not even close to trying to AAA a file like Variations. getting decent scores like sdg or blackflagging a file is not the same as AAA'ing the file.

I have a bf on Frictional and Ketsarku and those aren't hard fgo's. I can sdg/bf them all the time. Getting a AAA? yeah, right. I've even bf'd variations 3 times now in different places.

Yea I see what you mean. I'm having AAA issues on a couple of songs now, I can low SDG them all the time but AAAing does take quite a bit more.
Frictional is pretty easy, just has a high BPM. Ketsarku's pretty easy too but that purple stream stuff at at the end just kills me, how the heck can you SDG with that there? D: I can read the notes for a few moments then it just goes to crap. =S

You guys hear 4/0/0/1 is the new AAA? this is my 3rd fmo 4/0/0/1 today would be 4 but club didn't get the memo and was all 4/0/1/0 =/

Pretty much, I'm hoping the Blackwebb engine helps with that. Not sure though, what with it being 60fps instead of 30 it may make it worse. xP I mostly think that because SM runs at a higher fps too and I'm horrible at SM. It could just be my judgment, but everyone else usually runs at the default (I think it's 4) as well, but their MA is ridiculous. o.o
I also don't have nearly the time to play and whore songs like I used to since I work 84hours a week doing graveyard. =S I'm sure that's not helping me improve at all either.

Well, that may be true, but unlike Shitmania, on FFR I get to play charts that are usually of a good quality. I mean, sure there are some total shit charts, but for the most part from VC to FGO all have decent charts. Now, there's exceptions to everything, because there are plenty of total crap charts in that range too. But with SM all I seem to see are horrible, unskillfully made charts that have no flow, confusing layering schemes and overall awkward to play songs. Now granted, I'm betting that about 85-90% of my packs are all older packs where stepping was way different, so I don't have many newer ones with decent charts in them, and I don't think I have many singles or packs from RF at all either.
