I really think Spores is just a really high VC, it doesn't seem any harder than VB, it actually requires less stamina and has no damn one handed trills, it's just 20 BPM faster, and it's nothing THAT bad. It's deceptively easy. Logically, 220 BPM 16th seems hard, but you play it and your like 'why this so easy?'.

I'd say wait till you play it, there's a reason everyone is AAA'ing. I thought it was way faster, maybe it's the patterns, but I play it and VB back to back and although Spores is noticeably faster, it doesn't feel any more stressful or make any significant difference IMO, and I am most definitely NOT a speed player, probably one of the worst of those. I do best on technical files (like Piano Etudes, Anti-Ares, and Sparkle Downer)

Havent posted a score here in awhile but this was a neat unlock for me, borderline luck since I just couldnt dump 3 easy goods and AAA the rest due to me being horrible at the roll parts. Oddly enough I AAA'd both roll sets then had to sneak in 3 goods somewhere in the second half, pretty tricky. Anyway....cool another hard song to play.

I normally AAA the beginning fast jacks, but I always dump goods on the last few notes that's some 32nd dump. And of course during the 16th stream of joy and happiness.

I can handle VB's streams. The patterns are fundamentally similar in Spores, but there is a HUGE speed increase for me to the point that I can barely FC.

Speed is hard. Some input from someone who who doesn't have a single FMO AAA yet I feel is needed here before the powers that be see a bunch of people with multiple FMO and FGO AAA's whining about the difficulty of Spores. The file is FAST. It's a lot easier than VB to full combo, only because it doesn't have any anchoring patterns like the one handed trills in VB. It is still extremely difficult to PA and therefore AAA because of the speed.

And I'm like you stavie, I suck incredibly at speed files. Put a massive 100 note long color glut in front of me, and I'll PA it way better than a 100 note long speed section. I can read patterns and control my fingers perfectly, up until my speed barrier is breached. My biggest fail on FFR is that I can't trill. At all. I can vibrate, I can read, I can whore, I can jack... I just can't fucking trill. Even easy songs like Starlight I fuck up on only because of the brief left handed jacks that then end with something like 111111, 2, 1, 2, 11. Spores is an FMO, and for everyone saying it shouldn't be, it's only because it lacks the anchoring patterns you're now accustomed to in your FMO's. The speed alone makes it difficult enough to be FMO though. You're just fast enough to easily AAA that speed, so props. Don't try and make another retarded hard VC enter the game like K8107 though.

I'd post some comparison scores, but i absolutely hate the legacy engine in comparison with Velocity engine now. I tend to avoid Tarrik's engine simply because it's legacy and doesn't even offer a velocity engine.

I mean, I can't stay consistent for the entire length of the stream, unless it's a short one. I can do insanely fast streams no problem if they come in short bursts, i.e Famicom Selecta.
