![]() Just like the favorite Final Fantasy Cartridge Era poll, this one is to discuss our favorite final bosses and battles in the cartridge era.
Here are images to refresh your memory. Final Fantasy 1: Chaos ![]() Final Fantasy 2: Palamecia ![]() Final Fantasy 3: Dark Cloud ![]() Final Fantasy 4: Zeromus ![]() Final Fantasy 5: Neo Exdeath (Exdeath) ![]() Final Fantasy 6: Kefka ![]() I'm choosing Chaos. With a variety of attacks, Chaos can be very hard if not done properly and no matter how you plan out to fight him, he can always pull a trick or two to take you out in 1 punch. Anyone remember him spamming Nuke or XXX? ![]()

![]() I'm going for Zeromus. Big Bang was just ridiculous for an attack and for the average end game levels would always kill off almost your entire team (usually Cecil and Kain were left standing, while Edge was a few HP away. Rydia never got off a summon while I played because Zeromus just hates her for some reason.

![]() My vote definitely goes to Chaos. The epic music is all that I need. The fight didn't last long enough though considering that I had a ninja and red wizard boosting my monk nonstop and a white wizard brushing the what damage he did off like it was nothing.

![]() Kefka if only because he was the coolest villain of the bunch -- maybe not the hardest, but still cool

![]() Zeromus is by far the most fun of the bunch to fight.
Kefka looks the coolest. Chaos is really easy assuming he doesn't full heal and do some of his more annoying attacks >_>

![]() Kefka is the most messed up boss, he doesn't need a reason to destroy anything, he just hates everything. You also can't deny that Dancing Mad is the best last boss theme from the entire series.

![]() Kefka does hate everything yes. My theory has always been though, when Chaos in Final Fantasy 1 stated that he would live forever, "Chaos" lives as every final boss in every final fantasy game, just in a different form. Always something I have thought about, more then likely not true at all but something I have always thought about.

This oh god.. The battle with Zeromus is definately the most fun out of the cartridge ff's. Kefka is pure evil though, no other prime evil like that. However my favorite FF battle of all time was against Penance in FFX, i still load it up and beat him for fun. Okay a battle that takes an hour of perfect turns isnt that fun but still 8) However tedious prequests made me die a lot inside >_< Plus it took me untill recently till i found out that you could bribe monsters in the arena.. That was a relief but holy crap i've spent lots of hours trying to find single monsters to bribe ;_;

![]() Exdeath for me. I liked FF6 so much, but Kefka was not my favourite final boss.
I mean, what's cooler than entering the void and killing a 5 part boss? Damn, I love that boss. |

![]() Probably the most tedious battle in any final fantasy is Yiazmat in FF12 considering he had 50 million HP lol

![]() Of the cartridge era games, Dark Cloud was my favourite simply because I liked FF3 the most.
