Title. For anyone else who wonders what I am talking about, I was able to log into stand alone today when it ASKED me to, something it had never done before. I had to have protected mode for IE OFF before this to log into velocity through the stand alone. Can I turn protected mode back on now?
Thank you for your time.

If he stopped using IE he shouldn't need to give a crap about protected mode being on/off.
Edit: Yes I do, and I never turn on IE. Only time I do is to log into FFR then I close it and put it in a drawer never to be touched again. Seriously. IE is a piece of shit. Stop using it. |

You can try turning Protected mode on if you want. Or you could leave it off, because it doesn't do anything anyways.

If you want to stay logged into the game then you'll want to keep the IE settings that you've always used to use the standalone. If you don't mind logging in every time then it shouldn't matter if you have protected mode on since the login is coded into the engine. (this is psychoangel691 btw. I'm on my phone and can't get my password right for my main acct lol)

You can turn protected mode back on and it won't effect the standalone, not sure about logging into velocity engine and what not. It shouldn't even matter if you use chrome.

Velocity should just make the log in on the Standalone .swf already.

There's probably a thread for this or something, but can I have a link to a standalone Download? So far the only browser to work FFR without crashing (apparently 1.6X speed is too fast for my computer lul) is IE. I've been hearing about standalones for a while, and I think It's safe to say I need one.

Thanks, maybe I won't be cheated out the twenty or so AAA's I have as SDG's at the moment.
EDIT: Uhh, the top link just seems to open what appears to be an adobe flash player notepad. And the Velocity one just goes to his engine.

Back on topic, I've never used the standalone myself, but on Firefox I've had lag come and go. I've been able to play comfortably with messengers active just so long as I don't receive any messages during gameplay. (Inviting trouble, I know, but if people have gotten elusive AAAs thanks to one of kjw's former avatars...) |
