How to unlock vROFL: PASS vROFL.
Here's the link to the engine: http://ffr.lightdarkness.net/FFR/ffrndanotherway.swf Have fun playing vROFL. Pass the song and vROFL is yours! Not really, but would be awesome requirement. And yeah the song is actually on that engine if you reeeeeeally wanna play it. Stupid file. +1 on Byron's vote to remove from game. |

Also songs that were added on April Fool's also include Tass's cover of Ding Dong Song, as well as the sped up files that happened this year were all removed (the sped up files were just replaced with the normal rate files but they basically disappeared).
Why did Vertex Beta vrofl stay in the game then? |

I'm pretty sure vROFL stayed in game because of the fact that it was used as a prize back then for the Official Tournaments and those gamewhoring events. Removing the game would be the best solution but it would not be fair for those who actually worked hard for the token in the first place which is understandable.
EDIT: I still find it dumb that it's still in-game though seeing that there will be no more Official Tournaments and that no one is going to whore 1 billion points in 24 hours just to win a token. I personally have vROFL and I seriously do not even like the song at all but hey if staff wants to keep it in game well then...what can we do about it?

I dont mind vrofl being removed chart wise but I would like to see it replaced by some new rare song (sorta like scarhand and such) so token 18 can still be obtained in the future.

I don't think most of you understand why we want vROFL. We don't want it to play it, we want it to say that we have it and to complete the tokens. But since some people don't care to contribute and post "oh remove from game rofl problem solved," nothing gets accomplished.

Ok maybe I did just skim your post but no need to say I don't know how to read. It would be great to hear what an admin or whoever does tokens thinks about any of the suggestions mentioned in this thread. It is obvious that their are several opinions on this token and not much is getting done arguing with each other about it.

Honestly it's pretty useless to have exact (or pretty much the same) stepmania charts ingame (like OMGWTFTOKEN and vrofl). I'd much rather have files unique to FFR. Of course this also includes Electro Rush v2 but that at least isn't a mashfest for most players. |

Here, this might make people happy:
Replace vRofl with a GOOD song, for those who already obtained the token THEN Hand out vRofl to EVERYONE or make it easy to unlock. Then the people that want it have it, the people that had it have something new and worth playing, and then people who still want a complete token collection will continue to work their butts off to unlock this new hard-to-get token.

I like the idea of avg rank 200 and under getting VRofl, it seems fair imo.

We know, but rare doesn't mean unavailable.

What's funny is how anyone can get the level .swf for vrofl but still complain about not having the token registered on their account

I *have* the token and I agree that it should be unlockable (so enough "you're just complaining" arguments). It should be something lower-level players can do too though (although it should be difficult for everyone), so that just like the old official tournaments it's not only reserved for the topmost players.
And I do kinda like the idea of having one stupidly hard song (as long as it's NOT public), but it should be available to new people, because otherwise what's the point of keeping it in the game?

If you don't want it to be public, but you want it to be available to new players, then why not make it some rediculously easy skill token like simply passing Vertex Beta?
