I remember playing ffr during lunch time with a friend of mine. All the other kids crowded around us and watched.

used to play FFR a bit since they never blocked that site. People would definitely crowd around me as my friend and I would play against each other in MP.
Then I managed to get around the .exe blocks they put to run Stepmania. That one was even funner.

I generally do some during my midterm/semester exams (which I don't have to take, usually) but the keyboards are just eww.

I've played it in school since freshman year. People are all "Woah wtf? How are you doing that?"

I play in my math class and everybody around me watches instead of paying attention. Then we all fail. If I play on break people walking by slow down and stare for a while. It makes me lul.

Yeah, my favorite were the "Do you have that memorized?" and the "You're cheating, there's no way you're doing that." comments. They're hilarious.

A chick actually hit my hands to see if I'd miss a note. Oh, and I played with ~Zero~ in a lab once to kill time after finals. |

One time when I was still a scrub (I think this was during the avmiss era, don't remember if they had speedmods yet), a bunch of dudes actually whipped out a video camera and filmed me trying to play Gradeus in the undergraduate library.
More often, however, when I draw attention for playing FFR in school, it's the negative kind because I'm one of those people that hits the keys really loudly. |
