The only way I know is to copy a 48th note for example, and paste it on the 64th note spot.
Different combinations make it in different places. It's interesting...

1. place a note on a 64th 2. shift to the 48th above it 3. hold shift, select downward 4. enter, cut 5. move to the 64th it was on 6. enter, paste you've created a 192nd. do the opposite to move notes one 192nd up instead or just use ddream w/e

yeah 3.95, 4.0 and SSC support 192nds.
3.9 is good for playing, but sm editor is kind of immature. |

normally I create a freeze note forward a bit ex. m2 to m3 then highlight m1 to m2 and cut, your remaining freeze note should be sliced off and now 192nd. After that apply no hold on it. |

I don't think you need to use 192nds unless you are stepping a really slow song

I like to use 192nds holds for cymbal crashes and i also prefer using them when i step songs from artists like outsider or any kind of lyrical artist.

Does SM Editor 3.9 have any merits over 3.95/4.0? just curious.

or unless you're me or moches and 192nds are part of ya style
I think people are just used to using 3.9 because it's older and more simplistic. 3.95 has more supported features but seems to get complicated for a lot of people to work with for whatever reason. Also, some people argue that 3.95 is highly unstable on their systems which I have to disagree with because 3.9 crashes much more often in comparison to 3.95 which almost never crashes for me. I step in 3.95 because I've been using it ever since I began stepping files and I just outright don't like 3.9's limitations.

This is the ONLY reason why i don't use 3.95/4.0. 3.9 is the only version that works well on my laptop. If i were to use 3.95 or 4.0, it would bug out overtime when i use it. For example, when i go to the main menu in 3.95/4.0 editor and i select "Player Options" it would bring me to "Song Options" or if i were to select "Save" it would play the preview music which doesn't make any sense. Seems to me that 3.95 works better on a desktop than on a laptop i guess. I really don't know what causes the bug lol

SM-SSC is really nice but i hate that one mp3 bug where as like if you put in a certain mp3 file in sm-ssc, it would cause the file to be offsync in the editor no matter what you do. For example, if you put in that certain type of mp3 in the editor that doesn't support SM-SSC properly and you press ctrl+P, it would play fine however if you were to start at a different location of the file then it would be randomly offsync by like a measure or two and there's NOTHING you can do about it (at least from what I've tried)

Better assist tick, better sound quality when music is slowed down, supports 192nds etc etc
Also, there's much more features to choose from lol
