Truly, I'm not sure why prices have jumped so much. It's not like Libya is a massive oil producing nation. They're lucky to account for 2% of the world's oil production and with what many countries have in reserve (especially the US), they're pretty much a drop in the bucket as far as that goes. Look at how much gas cost one-six year(s) ago compared to now. In Houston from July-August 2008 to December 2008-January 2009, gas went from $3.94/gal ($146.43/barrel) to $1.40/gal ($32.00/barrel). Then shot back up after Obama became President. Maybe we shouldn't have a President.

Hint: Don't go to Disney World anytime soon.

The gas station I'm working at is currently at $1.14.9 per litre. So approximately $4.59.6 per gallon.

Gas around here is $4.00/gal, give or take. It has actually improved from a few years ago when it was pushing $5.00/gal. Then for some reason it dropped to $3.something again and has continued to rise to what it is now ($4/gal) The world is going to suck when I go off and leave for college. -__-

I started driving a little slower, around 65 on highways, and accelerating much slower, and leaving for work earlier so I don't speed. I've also been taking back roads more often.

That's some pretty good advice. Another thing I've heard is that one should roll up there windows when driving. Open windows, and especially things sticking out of them, drag the car down, thus making your mpg go down.

I might be the only one who does this but cruise control on the highway saves a decent amount of gas.
I cruise control on 70 all the way to work every morning. Prices here are damn near 4.00, I pay 3.89 at the Vallero right now. 20 bucks can't even get me 6 gallons anymore, I can barely get 5 now.

I cruise control whenever I can.
I can't help it with the windows. When it's nice and warm outside, you'd want some of that to come in.

when the global elitists want gas prices to be high, they are high, when they want them to be low, they are low. They pretty much control everything. Even our politicians and government.
