Re: The "What did you get for christmas" thread.
I got about 2 grand worth of checks and no presents. Everyone knows I'm poor so they just gave me money.

Re: The "What did you get for christmas" thread.
Ah just remembered that the best gift I got for Christmas was a PBA card from my cousin who is a cop. No more tickets...not that I ever get pulled over anyway.

My grandmother sent me one of my dead grandfather's combs. Like, just a 25 cent plastic comb, it was all grody and looked like it had hair on it it was really funny but also kind of sad On my Mom's side I got three pieces of paper and some long underwear. Sounds weak, right? But the pieces of paper were newegg receipts so I can expect a joyful Fedex delivery soon with a new mouse, keyboard, and TV Tuner card.

Re: The "What did you get for christmas" thread.
I got quite a few DS games: Pokemon Platinum and Heart Gold; Mario Kart DS; Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks; Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. Also related to games, I got Silent Hill Origins for the PS2 - I'm so outdated.
I also got a few books too: Banksy's Wall And Piece; Mark Z. Danielewski's House Of Leaves; George Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984. I got some cool DVDs too from David Lynch's Twin Peaks complete series (1 and 2) to Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo. I also got some cool little bits and bobs - I was bought some Mensa endorsed puzzles to try and solve over the holiday and it's great trying to tinker around with them. |

Re: The "What did you get for christmas" thread.
Okay here goes:
-A whole bunch of clothes (I don't even want to list them all -__-) -An analog wrist watch -Candy/Snacks -A new pair of shoes* -One of those toy stuffed penguins where they give you a code that you can use online to "make your 'pet' come to life."** -A $115 winter jacket*** -A ****ing big duffle bag*** -A roll of toilet paper**** -5 pairs of "high-quality" underwear -Cologne -$55 (Cumulative) *Since I live in Hawaii, I almost always wear slippers so whenever I needed to wear shoes, I would always use my black marching shoes. Black marching shoes isn't so great for sports/hiking so hence the new pair of actual tennis shoes. **I like penguins. Deal with it. The whole "bring your pet to life online" thing seems kind of kiddish to I probably won't be doing that. ***My mom bought these things assuming I'll move to the mainland for college. Since I live in Hawaii, it never snows so my mom got me a winter coat assuming it'll snow wherever I go. She said the duffel bag is for my luggage. ****I won this lame prize after winning Bingo at some family Christmas party. *****I might win a PS3 w/ move if I win this certain contest at my local public library. |

Gran Trismo 5 Alcohol (before xmas, reallly cheap) And a new tattoo And I plan to get myself a pink PS3 controller, too. All where better (bar tattoo) than half price in the xmas/new year sale so, eh, why not! ME ME ME ME ME, sod everyone else. |
