I can see moving some difficulties around after the avmiss fix, but any replacement of difficulties for the other files doesn't make sense to me. The only time the difficulties should be moved is if there's some major game-changing bug fix (like avmiss fixing or speedmod introduction) or if it was placed wrong to start with.
If the players are getting better, don't downgrade the songs for it. Seems like we're approaching the FMO is the new VC era, and that isn't very good on someone who is stuck between those (like me :<)

Had a blackflag after the frenetic midsection and got a 2nd good from nerves in RAN... still a killer 2 good run.
![]() So yeah, RAN is probably a low-ish FGO... it's harder than Time to Eye and Lolo (which, I know, are borderline), and it personally rivals Tageri pretty well. Last edited by smartdude1212; 12-24-2010 at 01:49 AM.. |

From that screenshot on the previous page I think that was the old version of RAN. I only made minor changes though, so the amount of steps should be the same. I sent the new version only few days ago though, so I guess it's partially my fault. And I agree with it being a FGO.
P.S. I apologize for the dumpy trilly/bursty/jacky parts(basically 50% of the song lol). Last edited by megamon88; 12-24-2010 at 01:58 AM.. |

The step count better be the same. If not, change it so it is. I'm not dealing with a deleted score or higher step count.

Yeah, if it's not the same then there's no point in fixing it. :P

Not gonna bother with the rock song right now but I played the other two.
Opt. 10 No. 9 - OMGWTFJACKS, that just ruined the file for me RAN - FGO, nuff said.

I must be one of the select few that enjoys RAN's frenzied trills and bursts and ****.

I liked the file, seriously. I just dislike the rating and that 16th jumpjack, even the bursts are ok.

I think Bury the Hatchet is a mid-10. Whoring it to get Oni. And I don't really think RAN is FGO - just high FMO.

RAN - the bursts are fun but it could be stepped better. It would've been one of my favorite files :/ (Should be a mid 12, how the hell is this remotely close to an 11?)
Op 9. Holy jacks. So uncalled for! Bury the Hatchet - best one out of the three imo. I like this file because it's fun SR (5 0 0 1). Gonna try to AAA it tomorrow. All the files are fun. Some got a little too technical though :/ I just hope FGOs aren't Death Piano status if files like RAN are considered FMOs... EDIT: Quote:

RAN - A 12, could pick a couple other 12s easier then this.
Op.10 No.9 - Ending pisses me off >_>, but the song is nice so it makes up for it IMO. BTH - Didn't play.

Hope people liked my files (Smash Podcast & Bury the Hatchet - Which I have to credit samurai with, he did an amazing sync-job and did a good 65% of the file such as all the colored sections) in this event :>
Gives me motivation to get active and bring some more files to the people! Also guys, Bury the Hatchet is hands-down a VC, it was intended to be one... we could've easily spiked the difficulty but chose not to. |

I doubt bury the hatchet will give you the oni token. I'm pretty sure they have to add it to the list manually.

Ran seems much harder than Tageri and stuff, then again, I haven't played it yet, but from replays, I can't imagine even in the slightest it being lower than an 86. Jeez that's crazy

Bury the Hatchet is a fun rock song, good patterns and not too repetitive.
