Dude, she knows you like her and she told you she has her eye on someone else. I'm 99% sure that trying to move in on that will only worsen your chances.

If he had a chance then she wouldn't have even told him about how she likes someone else. She would probably talk to both dudes and not tell either of them that she's exploring her options in fear of one or both of them taking a hike.

She might not even like another guy! She might just be telling him that to let him down easy. Either way, I'm certain he has no chance. Friend zoned.
