Why are you guys so concerned about offset if the right BPM is used? If anything, you should be more concerned about the frame offsets for the FFR .swf file, because I bet a lot of FFR files *do* have the offset in stepmania but on FFR the files give early goods.

Yes, this absolutely.

One should not get dinged on wrong offset; wrong bpm(s) resulting in offsync that's unfixable by simple gap adjustment is when you should care.

I guess? You can adjust it yourself, but typically enormous offset differences isn't very common. I might have to press F11 or F12 one to three times, but usually no more than that.

A bad offset is a problem, but it isn't a problem with *the chart*. As long as there exists an offset which makes the song synced properly, it should be up to the person who converts the song to make sure it gets done right.

Save your time; I resubmitted the exact same files (the two files for your group). And there's only one reason why I would resubmit something with no changes.

Oh, alright. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know what file it is - my rating wouldn't be changing at all.

EDIT: erm I know what one of them would be...lol

I have to standardize the offset of dwis before I add them to the game anyways (Not a big problem if it's off by only 5ms or so).

If the offset in your file is off by >20ms, there might be issues in either your syncing method or your PC.

it's a better batch than usual b/c only the people who are confident stepartists are aware of and had time to submit for it

once ffr's popularity grows the batches will get more random files mixed into them (/!\ hypothesis alert /!\)
