On a related note, the US Army (at least where I am) is kind of taking this with a grain of salt. We know that probably nothing will happen, but since they deliberately fired rounds into SK, there may be some action.

If this causes some new war, then expect us to do something about it. Not that I'm for (or against) another war, but with the way our military works...

honestly we cant afford another war right now, we're far enough in debt with the ones we already have going, altho if we start **** with NK then China will probably stop sending anywhere near their current quanitity of goods to us so our money will stop going to them and more of it might actually stay in country giving us a chance to pay off some of our national debt, at verry least it we may break even given those choices

Nobody knows when something gigantic is going to break out, especially with a nation as unpredictable as NK. If I had to put money on it I'd say war isn't going to start anytime soon between these two, but it's probable that this war is going to end it's ceasefire one day.

It's extremely hard, if not nearly impossible to wipe out an unorganized independent militia, or any force using guerrilla tactics like in Vietnam. Fighting a government army/force that doesn't use those type of tactics is a more win/loss situation. The US has a pretty good military force.
