So yeah, ****ing disappointing how that file got into the game and I can't even play it. My sightread was 12 clean, I would definitely whore for the AAA if I had the ****ING TOKEN.

It isn't as hard as you think, especially for high-tier players like you.

Yeah it isn't that tough -- as long as you have a somewhat consistent approach, you can just hope that the variance of your non-perfect hits eventually nets you what you are looking for.

Ok to actually be fair:

Last night I stayed calm every play and could not get 6 averages. Period. That is the ONLY thing that is preventing me from getting the token. I've tried lower speedmods and it still hasn't helped.

I'm stuck at the average block. I really cannot get 6 averages. It's impossible. It's all a wasted effort. It doesn't matter how much I "try" it.

Try a progression: It's easier to hit perfects first, then hit a BIT earlier and get Goods, then hit a BIT earlier and get averages. Start from what you know you can do and just push from there.

Should I reveal my secret to unlocking this? It is as Marcus says, systematic approach with hoping that you win after enough tries.

I get a perfect on the first two notes, and then hit somewhere in the early good/average window for the next ten. If you can't ever hit 6 averages in those 10 notes, try hitting certain notes earlier. And of course don't play with music. It's just a matter of playing until you are lucky enough to get the right number of averages (and to not mess up somewhere else).

Alright, entire time I've had music off. And I know what to do - just DOING it is what matters.

I'll give this **** another chance. I am so pissed off about it though that I won't be unhappy even if I unlock it.

My set-up:

Set auto-fail to 8 misses.

first two arrows: perfect
next four arrows: good
next six average: average (this is the toughest part, just gotta hold consistent)

(by the time you do this, you have two arrows left - miss those two and begin the sequence)

In between the 14th and 15th arrows, you have a gap - tap two quads.

Continue to miss until you hit the left and down arrows. If you do this right, you'll have 2-4-6-8-8, with 12 combo. The toughest part is getting two boos within the transition from the auto-fail to the results screen. Hit too early, you end up with 7 misses. Hit too late, you'll trigger another arrow.

pretty much exactly what i did with slight difference

Set autofail to 8, hit 8 boos, hit 12 notes with correct PA breakdown, wait until fail, hit final two boos

You do NOT need autofail for this. If you get enough boos and misses you will more than fail anyway.

As far as boos were concerned, I found it easiest to hit 6 at the very start, and then a slow jumpjack on the left after the 8th miss. (The first jump will fail you, if you hit the right number of averages.)
