Re: Thirdstyle
Since the TS engine is a SM port, it supports BPM changes -- and seeing as those add to difficulty, I doubt they'll allow for cmods unless they make separate scoreboards or something

Re: Thirdstyle
I just find it annoying to have to chose a different Xmod for each song I play so that I can read it comfortably.

Re: Thirdstyle
3s = stepmania with new graphics and no c-mods, gtfo plz.
Not totally counting anything out, but I'm kinda disappointed with the first impression.

Re: Thirdstyle
Yeah this is my main complaint. Big pain in the ass to need to gauge speedmods just so that you don't wind up starting a song with an uncomfortable rate (too fast/slow).

Re: Thirdstyle
The game is okay, I'd rather play SM though.

Re: Thirdstyle
Thirdstyle is ok, considering it is only a beta, but I was really just going to go there if FFR stayed down, but since FFR is back I'll probably be here more often.

Love how everyone says it runs smooth, laggy as shiz for me. Thanks adobe flash 10. Dont see why it is so hard to make it work on a standalone. >_>

My only fear is that it'll "feel" like R2 with prettier graphics.

Re: Thirdstyle
Quite laggy for me as well, also the hit detection was a lot like SM which I thought was good.

Re: Thirdstyle
If TS starts coming out with scripted courses (since Isak showed the engine is capable of switching mods mid song), then I'll think about it.

Re: Thirdstyle
Halogen: There are a *lot* of things the new engine could support that would make for some very, very fun implementations.

Re: Thirdstyle
The graphics and everything is amazing but the community is meh. I'm not going to say it's horrible yet since it's still undergoing some testing and updates but i will say that having JUST xmods in the game is gay since you have to constantly change it for each file you play. Also, the offset needs fixing. I do think that overall, the game will get somewhere far music wise.

Re: Thirdstyle
The judging system seems a little lenient too, kind of like FFR's
I will use Thirdstyle for the music portion, but as far as the gaming, not as much. Will probably play it here and there just for fun though.

Re: Thirdstyle
I'm used to a high c-mod and bpm changes throw me off, so I can't play it. Well, I can play it, but not play it well. It does run really smooth for me though. Oh and if I get a miss, I sometimes end up with a string of late hits or something weird is going on because I don't get any pefects or excellents when I'm hitting the notes perfectly.

Is there a reason why I get a black screen?

I guess us Canadians aren't allowed to play the new FFR.

Re: Thirdstyle
Might have to do with the flashplayer. My Firefox and IE run on Flash 8, while my Chrome runs on 10, and it only works on my Chrome for me.
