I'd like to see some elite player like Rubix, Halo, or Dossar good attack and smoke me at the fgos. Like I said it looks impressive to get 367 goods on lolo but it's really not hard to get 3 goods for every 4 notes hitting late. In fact that's pretty bad. I'm sure near sdp is obtainable by you guys if you care at all to try.

I can avoid Perfects if I want to, but at the expense of a high miss-count. It's like playing FFR three frames shifted up (M/G/G as opposed to P/P/P) -- also assumes AAA-accuracy equivalency (otherwise you'll hit Perfects as if you hit Goods playing normally).
NSane and I were playing around with some custom engines that made it harder to be accurate (i.e. we might turn the lower Perfect frame into a Good, etc) -- it's rather difficult (but not impossible) to operate within two frames of accuracy, and damn near impossible to operate within one (i.e. early-Good). We had a hard time AAA'ing Excite Bike on "FFR Justice" mode (only one Perfect frame). It's not hard because of the timing. It's hard because of the discrete nature of the lower-FPS FFR engine (harder to read and harder to be accurate since your hits are technically "rounded off" to thicker intervals, if that makes sense).

I remember stricter judgments were planning on being released before ffr went down. That would be very interesting. Another factor is that hitting late doesn't feel right with the music, and it kinda goes against ffr intuition cause we spend so much time mastering the perfect frames. So I'd say getting within two of the "good" frames is a little harder than just two "perfect" frames. Thus g/g/m is harder than p/p/g. But I might be reading into it a little too much...lol
ps I need to try average attacking which is the equivalent of ffr justice right? So if I got all averages on excite bike would that be acceptable? brb excite bike averages ![]() Last edited by awein999; 10-18-2010 at 10:21 AM.. |

Average attacking is extremely difficult to do because not only are you operating within one frame, but if you're too early, you miss and lose life-energy, meaning that unless you plan on missing more arrows, you have to hit Goods/Perfects to gain energy back so you'll finish the song.

![]() first try: ![]() I'm going to try playing without sound. I'll see how much I can improve. actually I prefer playing with sound. This song is very difficult cause the speed changes constantly...but it's very fun ![]() Last edited by awein999; 10-18-2010 at 11:40 AM.. |

It's not really a game breaker, more of..an enhancement? It's not like it's going to help new people to the site or anything, and I'm glad it's there, because every hard song i have mental blocks on, and now i can have fun learning how to hit new patterns to fun songs

sure, some of the songs are more fun on L/R, but it makes a fuckton of them a lot easier than what their intended difficulty was...go play molto/OMW on left/right and tell me it isn't a billion times easier
I hope L/R stays, I just don't think scores achieved on L/R should be recorded |
