Default [Prog. Uplifting Trance] Kysora - Cloud Running

Progressive mix: http://www.tindeck.com/listen/nqcy

Uplifting mix: http://www.tindeck.com/listen/tkqo

I made this for an Olympik compilation release a few weeks ago.. the main difference between the two mixes are the basslines and the build-up, the breakdown and climax are both largely the same.

The track did wind up getting Olympik to give me remix offers for their future releases, but this track wasn't put into the compilation because it sounded too different from the rest of the tracks.. which means I can finally share these. I think the progressive mix is the best track I've ever made, production-wise and melodically.

C&C still appreciated.

Im taking a listen to the progressive mix. Id do both, but I have a japanese term test to go to :P.

the bell/synth things in the beginning sound slightly clashy to me. It might be because their release is too long, but it sounds somewhat dissonant to me at some points.

I dont necessarily think the bass progression works with the main melody, again some parts feel off.

The breakdown is really nice, nice and melodic. I like it.
After the breakdown, I realy like the progression, and the wide sounding synth there, its really nice.

and then again when it goes back to the original melody, the bass vs the melody seems clashy.

Asside from that it sounds pretty clean and its got some nice ideas, but you cant really hear the bass (well not on ipod buds :P)
I'll take a listen to the other mix sometime later.

p.s. I really need to start listening to more stuff on this forum. I hate being so busy lol.

It works with the chords as best as I could have made them, it probably sounds off because the bass is the leading tone in a few spots. I probably could have went with a better progression but whatever

Thanks for the feedback

Listening to the uplifting one. I really like it. The stucture is great. I like when you first get a feel for the chord changes with the strings. Only thing I would change, right off the bat, is that crash. I would either change it completely or layer it so that you don't get that stretched out feel from it every time.

Very nice and smooth breakdown. It was so relaxing and kept the mood to the song. Well done on that! The buildup following it works well. Typically, trance isn't my forte, but I can appreciate it when well produced. This is very well done. Loved the small 4 bar break you did before the beat drops. This is very original while keeping a very familiar trance feel to it.

Great stuff man, would love to hear more of this.

Greatly enjoyed it! I'm particularly fond of the progressive mix, sounds very clean and well arranged.
